Do shots when the white is on the cushion mean it is harder to take it, i think it should be.

Yep, and chinese snookers (where you have to bridge over the ball) would be nice to have. It can be a tad silly that you can put backspin when you are on the cushion.

Good question.... we're aware of it, but right now we don't want to complicate the game too much.
