I know this is after the deadline but n3wcastleutd said he had a player online at 01.00am who could play the game which i was more than happy to do.

Flexible subs always will be the way forward and that has been agreed by everyone I believe. I think what there can't be is flexible deadlines from next season on. A deadline has to apply to all or else if an extension is granted, then that too must apply equally to all.
