I honestly think people that don't laugh at the office, just don't get the humour.

Predictable is one thing the office has never and will never been described as. (Until now apparently)

i like ricky gervais stand up, but i get the feeling that the only joks in the office are the ones that wern't good enough for the stand up. occasionally one little comment makes me giggle, but it's just too dull and most jokes are the same but with different scenarios

ah i think weve got it. i bet simon likes the royle family. if im right its cos some people like comedy to be a bit quirky, a bit "funny cos its true" and also a bit subtle, this is why the office is not obvious and predictable, like friends for example, because its not gags its just really embarassing footage. people who like this sort of comedy would probably claim it is more intelligent and subtle, like i often do hehe

The reason I love the office is because it represents british humour at its best. Lots of subtlety, lots of irony, lots of sarcasm, lots of funny because its true moments, and not only quirky, but extremely clever and amazingly acted.

I am not a fan of, say, typical american humour, oh that guy has fallen over, HAHAHA. It makes me laugh, sure, but with the office, I can watch it again, and again, and again, and each time LMAO!
