For the record, the match was won when mich made it 1-0 in the 9 ball and 5-2 overall, so I was then hoping to win the 9 ball 2-1 and say I had won 2 game types. mich won the last frame. Before that, I took a 1-0 lead in the UK 8 ball games (3-1 overall), mich pulled one back and would have had an early win (with no 9 ball games to be played) if he's made it 2-1 in UK 8 ball (and 5-1 overall), but I did instead.

So no 3 in a row for me, but very good games (if a little foul-ridden) and the best of luck.
