yeah i guess i could say something,
it's been quite a while,
this threads definitely been missing,
a bit of my style,
but ive been lookin and seeing,
that there aint much goin on,
most poets have abondoned us,
what did we do wrong???

i'll always take a peak,
coz i just couldn't stay away,
the craic was always fantastic,
it'd sometimes brighten my day,
breezing in and breezing out,
we'd all say our piece,
jimmy, paula, zac and fry,
always making me cheese

Its been way too long since i posted on here
Things havent been good, with someone so dear
I wont babble on cos its my problem not yours
And thats alls i'll say on that score
But while im away just keep this alive
Like back in the day when this thread did thrive

It seems since I went, this thread has been lacking
Yet so much has happened since I got myself packing!
Where to begin, to tell my story,
The mass of excitement or the bit that might bore thee,
Arrived in Thailand and to my surprise,
I was greeted by about one hundred guys!
Where you go? Want taxi? They said,
I stressed and I sat, massaging my head.
Gave in in the end, and got one to town,
But unfortunately I was a bit of a clown,
15k away, in a place called Pa Tong,
Is where I found myself, after travelling so long,
Gave up in the end just found a new place
Decided that I needed a change from this frantic pace,
I slept for so long, a whole 17 hours,
Straight through too but it gave me new powers!
So I hit the town, with a good friend of mine
Maybe forgetting it was quarter to 9,
Morning is not the time or the place
To order a bucket and get completely ****faced
But the day was good fun, stayed up til quite late,
Bouncing round town with all our new mates,
The place was unreal, it was all happening,
Ladyboys galore and shows of pong ping,
My friend held a lizard, we saw all the bars,
The craziest place ever that I'd been to by far
At some point in the night, my mate disappeared,
Never to be seen again is what I feared!
Turned out he'd had a craving, for a big KFC,
And so left two rather nice ladies alone with me,
What happens next is not what's in your head
For I got to their place and passed out on their bed.

The task before me is to try harder
So let me raid my lexical larder
And see if anything better comes out,
A better poem to shout about.
There's every chance this might be one;
My longest poem in a while. Job done.

I like turtles
They have a shell
My heart does swell
When i see them

For its a job in my mind I long since had banned,
Hungry Jack's is the place, and I know what you think
What the hell's that? I cant make the link,
So here's a clue, a pointer, a hint,
Its aussie burger king that's saved me from skint,
So yes, once more, I'll be wearing the hat,
Serving up burgers, want fries with that?
