I finally beat punkpoet after something like three defeats, and it leaves me and lethal_lures fighting for promotion. Phew! Could just as easily have lost.... Seriously!

all started where he got off on a 28 run and looked to have it, then he fouled and i got a small run.. then i tapped as no pot on.. both of us kept tapping, he got to 3 consecutive fouls before, forgetting his 1st foul.. that then left it open more again. I then made 2 10-15 runs.. and then took it, finishing it at 44-16. GG wp,ul!

Week 29 update

Shockingly, two divisions have had 0 games played... The deadline is tomorrow, which makes for a 12-game gameweek I know, but I've extended the deadline before, but that was personal reasons, i.e. I didn't have time to wrap the gameweek up. Maybe I'll be nice again and extend it again, but I won't guarantee anything.

Division 1 is finished. Division 2 sees irish_ninja drop down a division and sarny_lad and w_hoolahan playing for promotion. Division 4 sees punkpoet drop down a division and lethal_lures and me playing for promotion. Division 5 is finished; iam_me wins the division with 2 wins out of 2; 9ballsniper_ finishes bottom. And the_9_ball goes up a division from Division 7.

Divisions 3 and 6 are utterly unplayed. The clock is ticking.

Managed to get from 17-6 down to 18-17 with a run of 12... but after that it was game over as lethal_lures surged to a very quick run of 35 to prove why he's number 1 in the rankings. I reckon (here comes the science bit) that he took just under 5 minutes to do it, which comes to about an average of 8 seconds per shot, although most of them were maybe 3 or 4 seconds and a few that were tough that needed longer. lethal_lures therefore gets promoted to Division 3 and maintains what I believe is a 100% record.

scott7a becomes top dog after deposing beenjammin. All but two of the divisions got completed, and in each of those, no games were played. Firstly, in Division 6, powerfool logged in today for the first time in days (and played no games), and it seems that crazzymadman will be gone for a while, so it's a straightforward thing to declare bluenose1872 as the winner of the division and to remove the other two from the ladder. Powerfool has played 3 games in the ladder with one win and two defeats, whereas crazzymadman's career in the ladder/league is much shorter, with two defeats in two games. Interestingly, he had the same opponent scheduled against him in all three of his gameweeks (bluenose1872), which is probably a record. I dunno. Both players are welcome back at any time.

Now for Division 3. All three players are active and have been logging on regularly. Therefore it is impossible to promote any of them. I was wondering then how to relegate one of them; should they all get relegated? ritcho hasn't played in over 4 days; jose_enrique is playing now, but hadn't played since Friday afternoon, and lethal_playa has been very active (but still didn't play jose_enrique). So rather than relegate everyone, and (crucially) in the absence of any messages either to me or on the forum about problems finding opponents or any of that stuff, I'm gonna drop down ritcho down a division. Sorry. It's the best I can do, apart from relegate everyone down to Division 3 or throw everyone out.

As there is no promotion from Division 3, irish_ninja therefore avoids relegation from Division 2.

And junster33 makes a return to the league after a long absence, having played his last game on the night of January 18th 2012.

As there were gaps in the league, both the_9_ball and derik_dalton got sucked up to fill those gaps. I was considering leaving derik_dalton (who lost to the_9_ball) in Division 7 to make it competitive, but instead, the bottom player in Division 6 will trade places with junster333, who gets a week off (unless there's a sudden new player to join the ladder). Also, scott7a and sarny_lad, who both joined way back in Week 19, play for the first time unbelievably, after results coincidentally meant that one kept getting promoted/relegated when the other was getting relegated/promoted.
