1 player entered this micro, pointless if you ask me, just giving tournapoints away!

A marathon micro wouldn't have to be the same amount of frames as a normal marathon. (normal micros aren't the same format as normal tournys).
could just be an extra frame needed to win

Micro tournys are race to 1 throughout
Normal tournys are race to 2 and 3 in final
Marathons tournys are race to 3, 4 in semi, 5 in final
Micro Marathon could be race to 1, 2 in semi, 3 in final (9 frames max)

Possibly! For the likes of 9ball, it wouldn't take long at all to be honest!
Possibly slightly shorter though, maybe race to 1 in quarters, and 2 in semis and final.
But that's up to whoever really, it could be done several ways.

Where does that leave all the players from the rest of the world then ? This game is for people all over the world to play and we all have the right to play tournaments just like all you UK'ers . I'm not in favour of turning the low entrant tourneys into micro , perhaps the main tourneys should only start once a minimum amount of players have entered ?
Or all you poms could stay up later to suit the rest of the world
There are 24hours in a day all around the world Heres an idea, stop double award of rank points at non peak uk hours and award no tournament win on profile.

99% of tournament entrants dont play for fun, theyre addicted to trying to win tournaments big or small, the sooner people realise no extra kudos is warranted for tournament wins the better. Id stop tournaments after midnight uk time until 8am the following morning, players would stop earning the cheap tournament wins that way.

I agree with the point that 14 tourney points for someone who enters a tourney that no one else joins is crazy! And Nick needs to think about changed that!
On the other hand... How is it fair for the US, Canada, Mexico, and other players in the Americas (like myself in the US) to be punished just because this website mainly has a UK and European membership base?
I'm sorry if 10pm on the west coast of the USA is 6am in the UK... But no matter what time it is where-ever in the world you live, you should be able to log-on and play in a tournament even if only 2, 3, or 4 people sign up. How is it right for you to say those 3-4 players can't play in a tournament just because more members aren't online and want to join the tourney? Or that they/we don't deserve the tourney win because they/we don't play during peek FunkyPool or Snooker hours?

But also why should you have a much bigger advantage with entering tournaments with only a handful of users while most have to win a tournament with 20-30 people.
You can't call it a tournament with only 2, 3, 4 people entering.
