Ello techy people

I'm having a problem with getting on to funkypool for my fix. Its telling me that Java needs to be installed before I can start playing. I have Java installed, have just deleted and reinstalled it again and this hasn't solved it.

I've also double checked that I've got the little box ticked in the advance java options for Firefox, which is what i'm using.

So i'm stumped.

Any ideas?

It is working with IE though. So must be a FF thing. Anyone know what bit I've gotta click on to get it working smoothly again?

ah i see the problem

check here:
http://www.funkypool.com/help#enable_javascript

also check that it is ticked through Java on Control Panel

To enable Java on Windows (if you believe you have already installed Java):
Click "Start" and then "Control Panel"
Open "Java". If you cannot locate it this means you do not have a valid Java version installed.
Click the "Advanced" tab
Expand the option "Default Java for browsers"
Tick the box for each browser listed
Click "OK", then close all browser windows before re-opening

Restarting hasn't helped, and the

http://www.funkypool.com/help#enable_javascript

and tell me what you see in both of the boxes?

1st link, the box is blank.
2nd link the box is saying I have Javascript enabled.

Same is true for when I'm on IE and FF.

Game does open on IE, but not on FF.

Have you tried using Google chrome?
This way you can say its FF for sure.

Is it just funkypool that you cannot get sound on?
What made you want to switch over to Linux?

So far yes it seems to be the only place I don't get sound. I get sound everywhere else such as youtube, dvds etc. Linux has a lot more things you can do with it and it runs very fast.

I use Linux myself, I'm on Mint 14 Cinnamon at the moment.
Are you using the Iced Tea version of Java? It will tell you in the Synaptic Package manager. Search for 'Java'.

How long have you let it load for?
What browser are you using?
Can you go to this page and tell me what it says in the box?

You should see something like this; if not, post what you get.
