Yeah I agree m8, but I don't think it could work like that, clans would struggle for players all the time!!

Seems to have been a handful of unplayed games from Fixture Set 2 therefore I will highlight again some of the salient points from the League rules about what is needed by us for default decision making as it is not quite the same as elsewhere.

http://theclanleague.weebly.com/defaults.html

8.9.1 Number of points awarded
The point total for any default game could be anywhere between 12 and 0, depending on the efforts made by each player to play the game.

It is an expectation that there will be little reason for unplayed games given the number of players available and the time allowed to complete a fixture, therefore the starting position for a default score, before consideration of any information provided, will be 0-0 and this will be enforced where no meaningful evidence is provided.

8.9.2 Messaging
A player having messaged their opponent to arrange a time to play, or engaged with their opponent in a forum thread, counts favourably for that player, however there must be continuous ongoing effort visible in order to gain points. Failure to provide any evidence of messages sent means they will not be taken into consideration.

This means messages are King and must be evidenced/provided to gain recognition.

8.9.3 Failure to respond
Failure to respond to a message or forum post (particularly if having logged in in the meantime) goes against the receiving player.

8.9.4 Not using substitutions
A clan failing to use their option of substituting a player into the game within the deadline counts negatively. However substituting alone will not be considered positively unless it corresponds directly with visible efforts of the players involved to engage with the opponents.

8.9.5 Timing of substitutions
While using the option of a substitution is positive, doing it very close to the fixture deadline is not, since this leaves little or no time for the opposing player to arrange a time to play.

I have received some information already but it may be that what has been provided by some may need to be revisited in light of the above.

Deadline for providing any evidence will be Midnight (UK) on Wednesday.

chris may i point out this was in noway a dig at the TCL
it was a general statement

it has been said many times about the fun of clans going, i am pointing out this is one of the biggest reasons, the constant barrage of rubbish and offensive comments and in some instances blatant lies being told.

the site cribs of loosing players, is it any wonder, its only the start of the clans season and look how many clans are in trouble not only, not getting games played but the rubbish that goes with it

i was called a cheat in this fixture a little ironic id say, for playing an intentional foul shot in 8 ball and last season of matching fixing.

id say look at whats going on here.

the bigger picture is simple competitive enjoyable leagues are being killed by a few, the disrespect of a few is killing the enjoyment of many
just my oppinion

Yep not taken as a dig in any way at all

Just thought it would help to point out what was needed in the way of default info if clans dont want the 0-0.

Just in general my own opinion is that people tend to get too paranoid at time over defaults. Its a fact that they happen and as long as the effort is evidenced fully in the event of an unplayed game as detailed above then no player/team is going to unduly lose out.

Can I just ask, is this meant to read as "This means messages are King" or should it be "This means messages are key" ... the original statement doesn't make sense

Nope means 'are King' - as in 'In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King'

well fuunky the league runners should not allow players who show no effort to play in the league in my opinion.
Its not for the runners to decide though, its the job of the Captain to weed these out they should only use bans if needed (e.g. Match Fixing, Defaults etc).

Craig yep i partly agree with you about defaults but sometimes they are unavoidable. In my view subs should generally be used for timezones or inactivity but each Captain is different in their own way

I just had a look and TCL do not have an actual waiting list. If you join any clan that plays in the league though you would more than likely be added to the team for the TCL.

You can use the waiting list, as long as the captain is fine with you not being able to play in the FCL or FBL because of account age.

I read through comments yesterday and rubbish about people asking for subs straight away, if somebody has been offline for 7-8 days the captain shouldn't be allowed to put the player Into the fixture but if they come online should be able to sub the player in, that would stop the asking for a sub after one day, in some cases in fact in most cases people just want to get games played and by asking for a sub they are genuinely trying to get it played not just asking just so there is default info.

You can go through all the team lists then and see who has been off for so many days and what not .

I can see your point though but a lot of games still get played from all the leagues which had a fair few people offline when lists where sent in and games were released.

At the end of the day its up to the captains how they use their players and when they do subs, no one or any rule should dictate how a captain uses eligible players, opponents can ask for subs all they want in the first few days but to be honest I think they are wasting their time, I usually give the players a chance to return in the first week then look at subbing around the middle weekend.
Matty what if a player is on holiday for a week or 2 and due back the first Monday of the fixtures and the captain knows that, why would we have a rule that stops the captain putting that player on the team list, yes there are players that just go missing but thats the captains problem to sort out.

I'm not saying what I said is right I'm just making a suggestion. And if you knew for a fact when someone would be back that would be something you tell the opponent.
