i am going to host a World Cup Tournament. Going to start with 16 but if we can get 32 that would be wonderful.

If anyone drops out during the competition they get 3 days to post otherwise they will be replaced. The replacing player will also keep the scores earned by the player who left.

Rules:

- active players only please, if you know your going to be inactive then please don't enter (if your not very active i may decline you).

Tournament Tree will be

Winner of Group A vs Runner Up of Group B
Winner of Group C vs Runner Up of Group D
Winner of Group B vs Runner Up of Group A
Winner of Group D vs Runner Up of Group C

Quarter Final 1 vs Quarter Final 3
Quarter Final 2 vs Quarter Final 4

Semi Final 1 vs Semi Final 2

2 teams / pool players advancing to the knock-out round.

Goals are scored by Winning a Frame achieving a Runout, 7 Balling, Golden Break or 30+ Run in Straight.

In each game, Both teams must choose a respective game mode.

Games in group phase will consist of 4 frames of both types,
3 points for a win
1 point for a draw
0 points for a loss.

In a case of a draw at any part of the competition (except Group Stage) then it will go to Extra Time.

Extra Time: 2 Frame of both types will be played, if still tied then the first player to score a goal will win the match.

The quarterfinals will be contested in 4 frames of both types. The Semi Finals will be contested in 6 frames of both types and the Grand Final, which will be played at a pre-set time so that the Funkypool audience can watch it, will be 8 frames of both types to decide the Funkypool World Champion.

maybe but its my own version i planned a month ago. i was going to do it on Snooker but a mate persuaded me to try on Pool first.

In this though its a lot different than a Best of 5 as if your not attacking you probably won't get into the Knockout Stage.

You could lose 7-1 in frames but if your the only one with an "event" then you will win 1-0 because an event is a goal if you win the frame

going to be out perhaps at least 1 month as dad wants to catch up on some bills before taking the PC to the repair shop so unfortunately i cant run this event (no fault of my own). i may try another event once PC is healthy but for now unless another player wants to run this i have no option but to ask a mod to cap this.
