Defoe,s goal wow

shame the toon gave Adam Johnson so much crap
until he is found guilty he isn't
shame the respect was one sided

but I guess that is banter

not even a comment on Jermaine's goal

if that had been a Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd or Man City player, or Ronaldo or Messi
people would never stop talking

great to be a Sunderland fan witnessing that for real
and then watching, 2500 mags sit down and frown
even they were stunned to see such an incredible goal

then Krull waiting for Defoe in the tunnel at half time
to congratulate him, something you don't see to often

the last time I ever seen anything like that is when
Mart Poom scored for Sunderland against Derby
and both sets of fans stood up and applauded

much the same as when Henry scored against Sunderland
in his last game
when both Sunderland and Arsenal fans stood and applauded

Defoe's goal was awesome, reminded me of another goal vs NUFC Rooney's half volley in to the top left corner a few seasons back. That won Goal of the Season, so did Tony Yeboah's strike for Leeds United vs Liverpool which were very similar. Defoe's IMO opinion were better than both of those, Yeboah's rattled in off the crossbar whereas Defoe's the techniques seemed a little wayward. He could not have placed it any better.

CRACKER!!!!

Safe to say Man City ain't gonna be Champions and I can see Pellegrini being sacked tomorrow if not been already?

3 sides to go down will be:

Hull City
Burnley
Leicester City

Aston Villa will make a fight for it and those 3 points for Sunderland vs their bitter rivals will prove to be ultra conclusive. QPR are the ones who I think will survive JUST on the final day of the season, resulting in Hull City's demise.

Sunderland's remaining fixtures
games we have to win

Sunderland v Crystal Palace win
Stoke v Sunderland a point
Sunderland v Southampton a point
Everton v Sunderland a point
Sunderland v Leicester win
Arsenal v Sunderland zero
Chelsea v Sunderland zero

I think a max of 9
maybe 7

anymore is a bonus, will it be enough
????????????????

You haven't commented on any of the other wonder goals scored this weekend so what makes you think people should comment on defoe's lol, what a goal it was tho, but you've made it sound like no other top goals were scored

Rooney, bobby zamora, charlie adam were also right up there, no one has commented on them either so don't feel so disheartened

I don't remember anyone commenting on that either....

There's a Liverpool fan and a United fan applauding Defoe's goal

Usually a goal doesn't get talked about much. The game itself wasn't that great, so I'm not surprised the goal didn't get much attention because the game didn't either. Both teams aren't where they want to be, and the quality lacked despite the heart of the fans. If it had been an enthralling game, it would've been talked about. 5th win in a row in the Derby for Sunderland though, that's gotta hurt. Especially considering Newcastle have finished above Sunderland in the last 3 seasons, a nice record to have over your local rivals.

know what TV is like, always the big teams are shown. wonder if they pick games in advance when schedule is done.

be nice to have a channel dedicated to smaller teams near the relegation zone or bottom half

I expected it be on BT, Motherwell vs St mirren was on there

They do usually always show the teams that are in a relegation battle once it gets near to the end of the season, same as setanta sports, they have all the big teams on first but once it gets towards the end of the season they start showing the teams that are fighting to stay up

Maybe they couldn't get permission to broadcast it, the match could have been showed in the sponsors country instead, who is it Genting or something like that? Or Dafabet maybe they have their own broadcasting rights.

IF not then BskyB missed a trick last night and really should have done everything they could had to secure being able to show it.

Shocking!!!
