I had been faced with the problem of not being able to run funkypool on my new hp chrome os laptop due to java related issues. the fix is simple, go to the chrome web store, search internet explorer and then add the 'cloud internet explorer by ie-on-chrome' to chrome, (install it), then from that app run funkypool.

however i am no expert on computers so, i would advise only use the web app to run funkypool or other java games... dont submit a load of personal information, however it may be completely safe, as i say i am no expert. thank you. hope this is helpful.
