Who will buy my beautiful roses?
I dont think that anyone will.
Whilst the actors stand and pull off their poses,
I look out of the window with my hands on the sil.

This town has lost all that it had,
And now the essence of loss looms.
It seems that happiness was once a 'fad'
And now theres many brides all alone without grooms.

The wind blows harder, and the rain pours down,
The mud even softer than before.
The night falls early in this little old town,
The skys dark at around ten past four.

After three months here, I feel it is time,
Christmas waits to greet me at home,
But still there is pain, pain that is mine,
And I'll be sat there alone.

The air thins out, and fills with fog,
The clouds grow bigger each day.
The factories near have filled it with smog,
And about this whole place, theres nothing to say.

Such a nice smile, she touches my hand,
I still see her footsteps alone in the sand.
Those beautiful eyes, her golden straw hair,
Those romantic lips and that wonderful glare.
This girl from my dreams appears each night,
And when she is near my heart takes flight.
Laughing and running around in the land,
Each day my love for her grows and expands.
This little woman so thoughtful as well,
Everythings wonderful - everythings swell.
