Yet again another great player deactivates, an will probably come back under a new name.

Ever heard the term "fake newbies"? Many players i know have been banned for using that term. And when this player does come back on under a new account. They'll win almost everything.

Not that I have a problem with fake newbies. But what is the point, deactivating an making new accounts all the time?

It reduces names for new users to use. If a player has had enough of playing then let their account disappear in 13 months. Or however long it is!

Ban the option deactivation!! Because im sick of players deactivating, an then returning under a new name, entering all tournaments, winning them all! And it leaves a lot of us guessing who the player is.

Its just gonna lead to alot of bans if players start accusing others of being somebody else.

I do agree there should be a limit say 3 times you can deactivate any one particular account and the IP addresses should be logged.

Put it this way:

If someone has to feel they need to slide a mouse pointer across a screen and left click on deactivate then woohhh here comes the major part - retype their password - and press enter to vent their anger then i suggest they don't play a game which relies on winning but also accepting defeat just as much.

The site is dwindling down with members as it is - notice most the accusations are made from Clans who would like named above players in their sides. None of the allegations would be branded about if they were within their team lists. It's simply double standards and quite frankly boring. (Be Umbra and Penumbra next?)

Deactivate 3 times then see ya later - Should also be a limit on how many accounts anyone player can have too. The 'fake newbies' tag is not a concern it's the amount of them and as soon as a few pots are made becomes pretty obvious whether new or just a someone who fancied a name change for that particular week or day.

Before there were a mention that all new players should reveal their identities, you can't expect that - what we can and all should try to maintain is Fairness for ALL.

If you limit the deactivations you have to limit the resetting as well.

People say if you reset your router it resets and changes your i.p.. Well for virgin media i can honestly say that doesn't work... So for me to change i.p its not as easy as you'd think. I'd have to get rid of my current broadband contract and get a new one, like Sky or BT.

My old account had 400 tournament wins, and over 100 US Runouts (only 4 people have done that) - but it had to go.

Personally, I believe resetting should only happen once a month. But there isn't much you can do about accounts being constantly remade. Though, is it really an issue - surely getting more people on the site should be the priority?

All we need is a snow storm to cause an arctic freeze over..everyone will be stuck at home and we can have a merry new year on funkypool with everyone stuck at home to play.

I don't like the fact newbies can just enter tournies, but obviously if we didn't allow them that, then they would never lose their newb tags as there are not enough games otherwise
