Interesting fact in that Real Madrid have never scored against Liverpool in the CL....

I bet that that will change tonight

I reckon they could make up for it tonight

Wouldn't back against it lad

3-0 is a harsh but devastating score. We were much the better side in the first 20-25 minutes and I think we deserved a goal, after that as soon as we took our foot off it they get a worldy, then the defence needs to be better than that (great header then a poachers goal from a scrappy corner). I think we've threatened a goal all that half, the Madrid defence is not solid at all and the ref has helped them big time by not giving any freekicks around their area. I am baffled that we have had nothing there when there have been a couple of clear fouls, starting to wonder if they'd be given if it was Ronaldo fouled...

Not that we're losing because of those decisions, we've dealt with them well from open play but now they're controlling the ball and it's getting harder but we're still competitive if anything. Hopefully we can break through and at least make it a contest again.

Not mentioning the last time Ancelotti was 3-0 up at half time against us

Wow Balo, I am a fan of his, but that angered me.

Everyone heard that Souness was most peeved off about it, and it is completely understandable.

Poor Lambert, not even getting a chance yet. Hopefully we start with lambert in Madrid..

3-0 was a fair scoreline, maybe a 3-1, but nothing better.

Least it didn't get too embarrassing.

Better if unremarkable second half, they had an effective counter but it just didn't work and our last ditch defending improved. We were unlucky not to get a goal but in the end we were shooting from a bit far out.

Sterling and Coutinho were superb, the midfield played well for most of the game but in the end we just couldn't deal with the talent and they were bound to show off some brilliance. Great team they have, a full squad to select from would cover their defences weakness. I can see why the jury is out on Rodriguez still. He was terrible till his assist and did go off the boil again at the end.

First half mistakes in defence killed the game, but it could've been a lot worse considering they are the Champions of Europe and favourites again. If we play like that I'd imagine we'll do better in the prem and we are only fifth, above Arsenal and United and the likes. Plus United have their hard games still to come so positives to take and hoping we can use this as a starting point for an improvement. Better things to come, though we are missing Sturridge.

I only bet on Liverpool when there's a promotion, don't like betting involving my own team clearly cost a few people some money

Had an ok weekend of betting, made £70 before midday on saturday, messed up lost most of it.

And from £13, I rose from the ashes, and clawed my way up £160, it would have been £200, but Granada scored a late equaliser against Valencia in the footy last night.

What was my best bet I hear you asking? West Ham/Villa double, £15 bet, won about £115
West Ham 2/1, Villa 31/20

Bet365 are offering up to £50 free in-play bet for the ManU v LFC game this weekend.

The way this works is you have to place a pre-match bet on the game, up to £50, so this bet is your banker. Something like >1.5 goals, to get £10 profit.
Then you put the opposite bet on your in-play bet, up to £50, to gain 3/1 odds, so if this bet wins, it covers your pre-match and in-play bet.

Lots of betting tip sites will probably come up with some better bet to max the profit window, but that is usually what I go for.

Just make sure your in-play bet is for more profit than the combined pre and in-play bet.

I learned in October that I would not be backing Liverpool in any game whatsoever as part of an accumulator this season. I was going to back them other night and sure enough they screwed up!
