In my opinion, one of the best 8uk overall, is hoolahoops.

He knows when to attack, and knows when to play safe. Both of his styles are great.

Approx 9,298 breaks, 345 r/o

r/o every 27 breaks approx, over 1,000 7ballings and has a >60%, a deadly combination

My opinion to be one of the best you need to be an all round player, onua's attacking game is poor hence the reason why he is that defensive

Harry is a great all round player so I rate him one of the best, win ratio doesn't mean much at all really, you could only play poor players to get a good win ratio, so it doesn't really show how good of a player you are

If anyone else wants to work out there own averages, it is as follows.

r/o per break; add games won and lost, divide by 2 (approx half of games played are where you break), then divide by r/o's.

To get the average 7balling, just divide games won, by amount of 7b's, as you win every game you 7ball.

I won't bother putting mine up, as I'm not a good player, nor a very attacking player!

Although I hate defensive play, you can't say someone isn't one of the best purely because it's all he uses.

I usually play all out attack but switch to defensive if it's not working or the player i'm playing against isn't a bad player.

Liam was a different class though. Best offensive 8uk player on the site by a country mile!

Run outs and 7 ballings show a players true ability. I could play 20,000 games against really poor players and get a 80% win ratio would that make me a top player?

I know onua hasn't done that but just an example of why win % doesn't really mean anything

True although if you try for a Runout and miss on last Yellow (i normally do it with one or two left, snookered) then normally even the guests can clear from a carry

Yeah it would be hard work doing it playing attacking as once you've cleared most of your balls on the uk table and mess up you'll be lucky get another chance against anyone as It's that easy to pot, but playing defensive It would be easy. I was just making a point that win % means really nothing and doesn't show a players true ability.

It's the same as snooker really, halfs and centuries are what shows a players ability, defensive play to get high rank and win % shows nothing

Stats:

break per r/o: 13.26
win per 7b: 4.68

Very good, but tensions is far superior in terms of attacking

The best players are the ones that regularly beat the other big players. Regardless of how attacking or how defensive they are.

I can't think of any top players that are defensive. I don't think there is any that are afraid of going for a clear.

miss_harriet and cgibson92 I'd say control a game tactically rather than all out attack.

I agree that win % doesn't say it all, depends on who they were playing, of course. Also, what game type? Take any good player, and if 9us is they're favorite, their % is gonna be much lower than if 8us, or straight is their favorite.

Runouts and 7ballings don't say it all either though, depends on what the player was striving for, runouts or wins? Some player's would rather runout than win, they risk losing to keep the chance of a runout alive, others would rather win the game, they abandon possible runouts sometimes (when snookering, instead of attempting to pot, would give the best chance of winning the frame). As far as that goes, 30plus % in straight is misleading too, not everyone keeps shooting when the game is won (going for the big run), they stop so as to start the next game.

I don't think there's any 1 statistic that shows who is best.

I think the safety percentage stat in killer shows who the top ten players on the site are! Irrefutably !
