I'm going to put the offer out there, TORCH browser, NEW will be replacing Google Chrome very shortly (it has a very similar feel and navigation menu) so IMO as it's brilliant. The game runs like a treat on it, no lag issues been reported also many, many other add on's which you'll more than likely enjoy.

http://www.torchbrowser.com/

Enjoy

* Hopefully this could assist with increasing the sites traffic and players.

Trust Me It Works. (Have trialed a few others on here with it first and no issues have been reported too)

"Change Automatic Update Settings
Find and launch the Java Control Panel.
Click the Update tab to access the settings.
To enable Java Update to automatically check for updates, select the Check for Updates Automatically check box. To disable Java Update, deselect the Check for Updates Automatically check box."

I have tried this version too with the same problems too as you can join an invite but sometimes freezes and results in DQ. Takes around 3 or 4 mins to log in and when accepting an invite for tourney match you are lucky if you can break off within the allocated time.

There is also a security warning appear and you freeze or sometimes it allows you to press run.

You need to completely uninstall java 8 update 40 from the computer using control panel. Then download the java 7 update 79 or java 8 update 31 to your system.

The problems are stemming from the most recent java, once you've installed either of the two versions I've mentioned with them not being the most up to date, you will continue to be prompted to update again.

IGNORE such prompts.

Download TORCH after you've addressed the java issue and then you'll have to allow permission just the once and enjoy.

Click on Later when opening the java applet and voila, the game runs very smoothly and hopefully you'll notice the difference straight away.

Hope that helps.

Regarding Torch....

I'd echo _knightmares_ recommendation if you are running Windows Vista, 7 or 8. Torch is near on identical (bar a few social media features) but doesn't hog RAM like Chrome. However, I wouldn't download it if you are running Windows 8.1 as it isn't designed for it yet! (I've had issues with it).

If you're running Windows 8.1 I'd recommend using Pale Moon (especially if you are using the 64 bit version as it has a proper 64 bit browser option too!), firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera.

Either way, Chrome is awful

Also - Everyone be aware there are two seperate issues (some still seem to be confused);

- Chrome no longer allows support for Java plugins (you can modify settings but it will be completely denied before long)
- Java 8 Update 45 does not work well with the Funky Server.

So you need to switch browser or/and make sure a different version of Java is installed.

Torch is still better and there's no reason to stay with Google Chrome when they are phasing out plug in applications. I would recommend TORCH Browser, but that's just my opinion.

Mozilla Firefox is okay, I'm just not a fan of it.
Internet Explorer - I find this to be the easiest to attract malware, adware, spyware - I could be wrong but i don't touch IE with a barge pole. Plus my Anti Virus Program doesn't even like it - (Bitdefender)

I haven't updated java for a while. I never have problems logging in so I don't see the point

It's more than likely on automatic update or you simply wouldn't be able to play the game. Check out the control panel then click on uninstall a program, will display a list and the java version.

Nah It's not on automatic update as It comes up everytime I open the game window telling me it needs updating. I just keep clicking later then it signs me straight in.

I'll have a look later what version I've got

WOW that is quite an old version - maybe the best bet is to disable automatic updates or ANY and just stick to what you're comfortable with.

https://www.java.com/en/download/faq/release_dates.xml

Just the dates for the releases, explains why many are struggling of late - the Java 8 version 45 is the bone of contention.

I don't have automatic updates on. I used to keep java up to date but I've seen people have trouble with new updates loads of times and I never get any problems so I don't see the point in keep updating anymore.
