I remember when there used to be 1 tournament an hour with most around 100 entries or more and full with top players, that's when they were worth entering, there was no need to wait around then as there was that many games available to join, the site is just completely dead now and adding more tournaments certainly won't attract more people.

All I was saying is adding more tournaments won't attract more people that's a fact. I'm guessing with you been so obsessed with tournaments that you disagree?

Past week or two i have lost interest in funky but been playing for 8 years now. For me personally it wasn't about tournaments although i enjoyed Original Tournaments in my youth with some great players like fuddles, lindsell, fa_cup_73, buddytobud, bgyuk etc then later comes guys like arpeggi, chase475 and whocares8x8. Not sure when i lost interest there but for me its always been about playing friendly games in public lobbies and over the years, less seems to play in those public lobbies which has dis-interested me greatly. Clan League and Friends are the only thing driving me to log in and play with the odd knock around of Mini Golf (need to pass Davy at some point ), shame but can't help feel my emotions has changed in a negative way towards the game and unless top players return or more public lobbies are created then my negative attitude to the game will continue to grow. Without the League i probably wouldn't ever log in unless a friend pm'd me to play (via Facebook or Offline Messages).

If i really had the drive i could play 8 hours a day but the motivation to play has limited that to 2-3 hours or even an hour at times.

We can easily find out why people are not playing simply by asking you hahahaha. You have like 6 game events in 6 months all dating back to Feburary, bar the one from yesterday, so what is it that stops you using the site for its main purpose? Perhaps you have been playing but don't get the events, in which case I apologise.

I think the point Craig was making is that there seems to be a lot of comments from people that literally sit on the forums spouting rubbish (your term) and little else. Try playing the game because there are no game events for consistent moaning without providing any solutions.

Not everyone can make an event though and way Craigs talking it feels like only those who play tournaments can have an opinion which isn't entirely true.

I think when tournaments became ranked is when i stopped playing in them.

My Tournament Stats: (Only won) - 27 Total:

Pool (Inc Micros):
3.40 per Year
0.29 per Month
0.06 per Week
0.01 per Day

so every 100 days on average i win a tournament which is just over 3 months

Snooker (Inc Orig) 148 Total - Most here between 2008-2010:
18.5 per Year
1.54 per Month
0.36 per Week
0.05 per Day

so takes me 20 days on average

There are guys out there who struggle to make events, take cke and hardy, no disrespect to them but they are two of the weakest players i have played in the Clan League and a Golden Break are the only way they could get an event. Yes they had Runouts and Golden Breaks but on average of like 500 games.

Wasn't defending him, its my personal opinion, when players write shorten the schedule he says we are not tournament players so we are killing the site with our suggestions.

I'm trying to think of guests as well who may never get to play as guys are all in tournaments.

I'll be honest i do prefer hourly schedule as friendlies only when the site was booming and ranked were played in lobbies, sure you could play a 600 to gain rank but at least games are created.

I prefer Friendlies, Craig prefers Ranked, I don't like Micros, Craig does, I don't like the hectic schedule, Craig does. No harm, just a difference of opinion which people are entitled to.

Despite not agreeing with Craig i respect his opinion, just a shame i don't get the same courtesy

Keep it simple.

ALL games ranked, including guests (give them the default at the start of each session, then even guests get to play for rank)

Points for ALL tournaments, but limit the number of tournaments that count towards a players daily total, and use the highest points won to decide the daily winner. (fair to all, so those with more time than others don't dominate, and encourages more to enter to increase pot)

We have scant few members left without people actively trying to get other members banned or silenced for using language which is commonplace in everyday life. Maybe the mods did read it, and like everyone that read it - thought it was pretty innocuous.
