Very poignant for this time of year - The NEW JAVA works a TREAT!
*** NEW JAVA VERSION 8 UPDATE 65 *** - Available
Works fine with this site, I've had the security sandbox banner appear once and it allowed me to click on RUN - so fingers crossed it's resolved that common issue.

* Remove ALL previous versions first using:
Control Panel
Add/Remove Programs etc (If you have any IOBIT software (i.e. Advanced System Care 8, Driver Booster 3 etc) then perform a Powerful Uninstall afterwards - Shred the files)
(Keep a note of where you got the previous versions from whether it be cnet.downloads, filehippo, itechtics should you have any issues - so it's easy to revert back.)
* It works on Google Chrome with the IE TAB as that's what I'm currently using - will try on Firefox shortly too) *
* Tested on Mozilla Firefox - 17:42pm - 21/10/15 - Straight log on - no issues.
(It's not essential you switch immediately but the older versions will slowly fizzle out and expire in due course)

Or do what i do and download Java 8 31 and Opera, got no problems and never had to remove java when java was at fault

Each to their own the new java runs very smoothly so it's entirely up to you. I'm simply just offering assistance and sharing my own experience with using the new one.

Great news that some of you are finding the new java update is working, also thank you _knightmre_ and dgeneratio who have both posted some very good advice on the forums to help members who have had issues. Much appreciated to others who have taken out the time to help.
One of the admin staff who speaks in Java while sleeping is working in the background to try and have a longer term issue resolved. In the meantime i hope java dont update for a while now

true, i don't update to newer versions, used to but each new version had bugs etc so don't fix what isn't broke is why i didn't upgrade
