You've listened to Mourinho too much , it was 3 shots on target from 9. Compared to United having 1 shot on target from 7.

Not great, but we still played some good football and improved a lot in the second half. Firmino in the false 9 improved, Mane ran all over and worked hard. Lallana coming on changed the game and gave us that penetration which lead to chances which might've been enough had he been fit to start.

But United played compact and defensive using the long ball. That meant there was no room behind to exploit with our speed and we couldn't get our pressing game into effect because it was hoofed long and we had most of the ball.

So it was more about breaking a team down who come to defend, probably not what we expected for 90 minutes but if United are happy with a point and we are not then I'm happy with that. Other than Herrera and De Gea, United didn't play well either and most were disappointing but again that was down to Mourinho I feel.

If you don't have the players now then Jose has made a mistake in the market surely? If you needed more then you should've got them so you can settle the squad rather than settle in another couple of players to get to where you want this season because you aren't top 4 at this rate. City, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool are all in a better position and only Chelsea have a worse record against these title challengers than United (I think with 2 losses, united have 1 point from 6, City and Arsenal have 3 from 6, Spurs have 4 from 6 and we have 8 from 12 if I haven't missed any matches out).

I said at the start of the season Ibra wouldn't be enough up front on his own and I think that is proving true. Of the title challenging teams I think only United are in need of at least one more signing. I still expect there will be signings from the other teams, but I think United need another window to be challenging.

I don't think right now that United are on course for a top 4 finish. Spurs will play very similar to Liverpool and Arsenal also look like a title challenging side so I think United will be the underdogs in those games too. Chelsea are also in a bit of a rut but they look like coming out of that, but I think they'll be United best chance at 3 points against a title challenging side. Chelsea and City are also in the same boat as United and even Everton are but they've all started better than United so I don't think it's just a matter of time needed. Look at Pep who has City topping the table with some fantastic signings.

It's almost depressing seeing a United team settling for a point before a match and not challenging where they think they should. Though I won't shed many tears if they fall short . But where is the attacking, ruthless performances? I've not seen it this season really.

I'm guessing Ash will not be online for a few days now.. To avoid having to back up his beloved Manchester United. A team that he lives so far away from. Must be great being a glory hunter of a fan. I wouldn't know myself.

But on the good side of things.. Chelsea being 4-0 ahead as I speak. Has just won me quite a lot of money at the bookies. Thanks United for not turning up.

I can see why United went for 0-0 against us, as soon as they concede it's game over for them .

It's hard for the same excuses to wash when Mourinho has been at United a month longer than Conte at Chelsea, managed more games for United than Conte at Chelsea. United are slipping into mid table.

1 word = ABYSMAL!!!!

Worst performance by far.....More creativity in a doormant volcano. Glory hunter...lol - says a Liverpool fan. I've been watching United play since you were in nappies...so not too long ago...especially after reading your recent posts...anyone would think you still are reliant on them.

Only this season your teams realised what it means to actually be one. Been complete dross for many a season.

Only 2 players really tried this match for United; Valencia and Rashford.

Chelsea have been brilliant, totally deserve their emphatic win.

Always said our defence was CRAP - hopefully that will be sorted in January. Bailly's been brilliant this season...but he cannot fend on his own. Smalling's (stand in Captain) - Woeful.

Who wants what on the Jose excuses sweepstakes?

the most entertaining part of a Mourinho match these days is when he throws his toys out the pram in post-match interviews. How much time will you give him when he has spent so much and taken you backwards?

I can see Liverpool winning the league this season as we have alot of players who can cause havoc against all other teams , only thing we need to do is defend corners better as that's our weak point .

Fingers cross im right :)

I don't think they will, I think Arsenal could be the champions if they don't follow their same routine of collapsing near the end of the season. Man City will be up there and be their only competition.

I think one of the current top five will win, we've got a good idea of how the season will unfold now. All teams in the top five look good, all have dropped points somewhere but haven't been derailed by it.

Spurs and City will both need a win to keep momentum, there's a few too many draws going on for them right now. Arsenal we're close to a draw against Swansea then we're held by Middlesbrough so I'd expect them to even more desperate to get a win under their belt and with their next opponents being Sunderland, you have to expect them to get it.

Chelsea look to have clicked into gear now and are resurgent, but I think they still need to test themselves against an opponent who really challenges them, because they were comfortable in that 4-0 win.

Liverpool have got through some tough games and ended up in a favourable position. Now they have a good run of fixtures against lower teams and this is where we see how good the credentials are. How many points will they drop. That's the difference between titles and top 4. With a breakaway group of 5 teams for the title, being a top four team goes out the window because you won't get it. Looks like all or nothing right now and there's not much to choose between them.

I think the title will be decided by the head to head records of the top 6-7. That's where United have fell short. 1 point from a possible 9, at that rate you aren't in the title race and if you aren't in the title race you aren't in the top 4. Hard to choose but Chelsea and Liverpool don't have European football, so will have a bit more in the tank. Saying that, Arsenal's fall usually coincides with their CL exit. More head to heads are needed to separate the teams I feel.

Interesting results today, Possibly 3 teams starting to stretch out a gap? Chelsea need to win tomorrow!

United were brilliant today...just couldn't finish for toffee. Another day and without the mesmeric Heaton we would've battered them. Overall the red card was a joke...Herrera slipped over so how can that warrant a yellow card?

I was very pleased with our performance. Sunderland were woeful vs Arsenal and A good Draw by Leicester vs Tottenham. WBA were abysmal and Liverpool player well but still should be a little concerned as their defending was shambolic at times.

Interesting day score wise...performance of the day has to be United...37 shots, 19 corners and Suoerheaton in the oppositions goal. His incredible save from the awesome effort by Zlatan was Schmeichel'esque.

You cant say a team was brilliant if the end result against Burnley ends 0-0 and at Home that to me says bad result LOL .

City were brilliant, Arsenal were brilliant, Liverpool were brilliant.

West Brom, Sunderland, Palace and Burnley are all hard to beat teams who will often play defensive, but 3 conceded 4 goals. I think to have that many chances and not take one is criminal.

Surely the performance of the day has to be Burnley in that match. 44% less possession, 30 fewer shots, 10 less on target and 18 fewer corners and they still had a clean sheet and even spoils.

It's the same story in virtually every Burnley game. One of if not the lowest possession average, concede a very high amount of shots (particularly the teams at the top all have 20+ shots), lots of corners against them. So I wouldn't say that is a particularly surprising set of stats.

One goal in the last four games is very worrying. You have to take your chances when you get them. I would be asking how you didn't win with so many shots. Mourinho sent off at half time and heading to the dressing room before the final whistle would worry me too. Coming after his first fine of the season, is it meltdown time yet?

8 points off the pace after 10 games. Not unassailable and plenty can change but I don't see where it is right now.

I don't think Liverpool were that bad defensively. It was another defensive howler that's hard to legislate for and an aerial ball which is what we are weak to. Overall they had chances but we defended well and really limited them while at the other end we could've doubled the amount of goals we scored quite easily. Crysta Palace has been a real bogey team and I was worried about this match tripping us up and breaking our momentum but the players are determined to fight for every point and make amends for errors like Lovren did. That's the sort of thing that will keep us going where previous seasons we would've collapsed. We do concede a lot but most of the time the score line is closer than it should've been and we've held out well. I'm happy to play exciting football and score and concede by the boatload as long as we score more than we concede

United have a pretty tough run now until mid December and have to balance Europa and cup football during that run.

The good news is you have a relatively easy finish to the year. I think the Mourinho reign could be make or break in the next month and I've heard calls for him gone already with Giggs as a replacement. It's too soon for that but an early exit from Europe and dropping further behind in the league is a serious possibility right now.
