A rare log in just to say....
Ranieri being sacked is beyond ridiculous, no loyalty in football and its sad that Leicester have got into that.
see you all in a month :D

It is indeed.. fair enough they're doing very poor in the league, but to go and do the impossible last season and win it, got through to the champions league knockout stages (and by all means still in it with the away goal) its a very bad decision. they have looked a completely different team this season, players dont even look like they're trying, i have no doubt he'd of kept them up and got the best out of them to do it.. i wonder who are they going to replace him with?..

Tbh I don't think they'd stay up with or without Ranieri, but he should not have been sacked. Totally agree with the comments about the Sevilla game. Still in it. I fancied a home win by about 3 goals, they're a very good team and Leicester left beaten by a single goal and the away goal. That said, I feel that Sevilla will score at.....Filbert Street lol, can't rem their ground!
Definitely should be Claudio leading the team out for the 2nd leg

Look at them 2 seasons ago mate, they were doomed and looked a cert to go down, and won all off their last 7 games to stay up, in my opinion they would of been able to pull it off.. Yeah the way they are playing they will definitely conceed... filbert street LOLOLOL yeah you're right he got them there, if they were planning on sacking him they should have gave him until the end off the season at least, this will make them even worse now than what they are and I can't see them finding anyone better at the moment to save them

I see it more as a deliberate act to try and save the Owners some face....the euphoria and delight from last season and the sad, miserable, lacklustre efforts this one. I wonder if the owners and their suitors were receiving much criticism abroad and felt they had to Act.

That still doesn't mean Ranieri should've been sacked now...whatever happened to 'left by mutual consent?' After the remarkable events from last season surely he deserved a farewell fit for his totally unexpected achievement? Didn't Nigel Pearson keep his job and they were bottom before???

I think they obviously have another manager lined up and I really cannot see them reverting back to Nigel Pearson. Martin O'Neill's name's been brandished about but can't see him doing it alongside his Rep of Ireland job. Harry Redknapp, Alan Pardew, Roberto Mancini (Would he take it replacing a fellow Italian?) I'm not so sure, whoever gets the job i hope come the end of this season regardless of their placing they acknowledge what a fine job Claudio Ranieri did and the players take in to account their lack of effort and application resulted in a decent, respectable, charismatic manager getting the sack....he'll probably retire now too.

The players who signed their new contracts: Morgan, Vardy, Mahrez, Drinkwater etc ... wonder how they are feeling....they mainly stayed at The King Power Stadium due to the manager himself and their style of play and involvement under him.

Gotta love United having a glorious opportunity to finally climb out of 6th and miss a pen to win the game. How's Zlat? now if only we could scrap playing relegation teams!

I think the top 4 will stay the same with us and City fighting for third unless Spurs capitulate with injuries (they've done well so far but are still getting more which could be huge). Chelsea have enough in the bag to get the job done against the lower teams if they suffer more setbacks against the big boys.

United have some tough games, not even top 6 is a certainty. Vs top 7 they have only one win and 8 points from 8 games. 4 more games left vs top 6 are massive and they need to improve for any chance. Only good thing is most of the top 7 have tough games left, especially Everton who have fewer to play. I think we have the easiest run in, though we do things

Problem with United is where they've set the bar, 7th was enough to sack Moyes before the season finished. 4th/CL was enough to give LVG one more season but 5th and a trophy wasn't enough. Mourinho has been given more to spend than either of them, so if he doesn't get 4th/CL does he have to go? Or have you seen enough to warrant one more season?

Who follows Mourinho with the amount of money he's been given? Or how much longer would you give him? Any United fans about?

Of course, this is the premier league and things could look very different before this month ends. Plenty of games to play this month to make up for us having to suffer the March international break.

It's Mourniho's 1st season, the team isn't his to be perfectly honest, he just acquired it when taking the job. Out of ALL the players only 4 are his acquisitions, so I'd give him more time....at least next season to make amends.

Tonight we will absolutely dreadful but the team selection set the benchmark for it to happen with playing Fellaini, Carrick & Herrera all at the same time. The game IMO was crying out for a more adept creative player & influence (Mkhitaryan) yet he was kept on the bench. Fellaini always plays CRAP versus his old team....last time around he gave away the needless penalty away in the dying minutes and tonight he couldn't manage to string a simple through pass for Rashford to run on to. He should've been subbed out at half time immediately.

I do not rate Lingard, Fellaini, Young, even Rashford as i don't feel ANY of them fully deserve to represent United at this level. Their performances are intermittent, inconsistent & damn right predictable. I hope we get rid of some players and sign some hungry, young, talented, versatile and prolific players who will grab the opportunities they're given with both hands and represent United with some fresh passion.

I think the Top 4's gone now and we'll only make it if any of the current 4 suffer a calamity and do an' Arsenal' lol & bottle it. Do I think we'll win the Europa League Cup? IF we play like we did tonight vs Anderlecht then no chance, Tielemans & Co will have a field day.

We were abysmal in the 1st half - should really have taken Fellaini off at Half time and put on Mkihtaryan, someone with some creativity. A draw is the least we deserved but we were playing with fire when we subbed out Carrick and gave them the chances to counter attack.

We were screaming out for some creativity and Zlatan didn't really play very well at all. Still 1 point's better than 0, having hit the crossbar twice, had a legitimate goal disallowed and still kept persisting.

To be fair it's Mourinho's fault there's only 4, he outlined 4 positions that needed strengthening to challenge for the title and said he didn't need more. He made a big mistake because that wasn't enough.

I don't think you'll get rid of him if you finish 5th/6th and don't win Europa because you've at least got some direction even if you've got to burn money to get there. Plus we get the pleasure of a few more Mourinho melt downs and tantrums

It just shows that you can't take top 4 placing a for granted because it's not a sure thing for any side. Arsenal could well suffer if they don't back the next manager.

Well our draw doesn't look half that bad after tonight's draw at Anfield....versus Bournemouth.

I quite fancied you to win convincingly tbh - guess the race for top 4's still open - maybe some more hiccups from all sides still to come.

I think it's more of an impact for us sealing the top 3, I wasn't entirely surprised by the result (devastated that my acca lost because of that goal after the Spurs comeback but my friend missed out on an even better accumulator so at least I get a laugh )

It was the same as the first game against them and they were a tricky team for us with an in form striker and they beat us with a late goal last time. The rest of the teams we have to play we've already beat apart from West Ham (who are in free fall) and Southampton (who are missing a few big names). So we're still favourites. Arsenal, City and United have hard games and there's still United vs both the others and Chelsea which is good for us whatever the result. Unless United lose both matches then we'll gain ground on two teams at least which would be enough for 4th.

Only issue is if we fall apart on which case none of this matters anyway but we have the best run in still and we got a better result than the first match even if we should've won.

My momentum was completely killed by injuries, I've had one or two each week for the last few weeks and I'm out of transfers for my higher scoring (but lower placed) team with 2 big injuries and a suspension, and just 1 transfer left for my higher up team with 2 big injuries and 1 doubtful player.

Not much left for me to do now but hope I keep gaining
