No need to cap it sean, might be helpful to anyone else in a similar position.

It is quite likely there is some other software either on your system of possibly on your home network (if there is one) that is hogging the connection and making your download speeds so slow.

Just so you know:

I was trying to help you fix the anti-virus, then get some anti-spyware on so we could clean up your computer, make the downloads nice and fast, then get around to updating java etc.

Hope you get it all sorted.

Just in case your friend needs it, the procedure for restoring Java for funkypool/snooker is:

- uninstall java from control panel (all versions)
- clear browser history including downloaded program files
- reboot computer
- run a windows update (to ensure browser is up to date)
- visit www.java.com and install a new version.

Then you're good to go. (I know you've seen that before but thought it might help to show it to the cmputer guy )

Kk, my computer has been fixed now, I have AVG. Yet my computer is still quite slow, and funkysnooker still isn't working for me.

Funkysnooker doesn't close anymore, but it stops loading when it says "funkysnooker game client loading". Any suggestions?

Have you gone through the steps above to remove and reinstall Java?

But my computer and download speeds are still slow.
