Make sure you verify the update too. Sometimes can take a while too load fully.

ok well if that's not worked it's a bit more tricky.

Uninstall java from control panel

Now you will have to manually remove these folders from these locations if present in my computer.

Firstly goto control panel and into Appearance & Personalisation and change to show hidden files and folders.

Folders to remove (delete by right click) are any of these: Java, Sun, Oracle.....from....

C\Program files and C:\Program files (x86) if u have 64bit

C:\Users\yourcompname\appdata\localLow (might not have this on xp)

C:\Documents and SettingsyournameLocal SettingsApplication Data (think this is xp folder of it)

once done run ccleaner reg cleaner until no issues found....1 pass will most def not be enough.

reboot and try fresh install again.

There is a Version 7 Update 31 - might work on lower versions of Windows

https://www.java.com/en/download/manual_java7.jsp

Hope this helps.

Just throwing my 2 cents in, i got a java notification when trying to get on funky just now, and it said your java is out of date, gave me 3 options, update, block java apps from this browser, and ignore, i ignored. I am now on funkypool :)

you are on chrome yeah? maybe uninstall chrome and do ccleaner reg scan, then re-install chrome. It's a long shot, but if ur internet speed is quick enough, this shouldn't take long

ACTUALLY, trying going to setttings on chrome, go to very bottom, (advanced settings), then very bottom once again, you will see reset chrome settings. Try that before uninstall.
