I use it and have had zero problems with it, the only issue I've had is occasionally 'not responding' but that's the sites server and not Java related. This Java although has enhanced security does not ask for security certificates or restrict access to the Java applet window with a prohibited sandbox banner/warning.

Just make sure if you're using any browser (with the aid of the I.E Tab) which no longer permits the use of plugins (Google, Opera, Vivaldi etc)), you copy & paste the URL to the browser you're using in order the verify the version.

What if you don't have IE Tab?

Then you're using a suitable browser which doesn't require the IE TAB (to enable plugins), therefore you can verify it straight away on the browser currently in use. (Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Comodo IceDragon, Maxthon (MX5))
