you joined you played
this team was formed in less than a week
showing no matter what the differences between us
we came together

the end score didn't matter to me
however it was closer than id thought
i know i could've played better
but that's the way it is

but to complete a match in less than a week
with only a couple of hiccups, just shows when people cooperate things can be achieved

well done to Stu and his team
we gave a good account of ourselves and its was fun too

i don't no if it will be done again
but if so it will be another captain, ive done my bit and im proud of everyone of our players

Well we're 2 steps away from what looks like the end again. And I'm insanely proud. Not of the results or anything like that. I'm proud that after years of most of us not even logging on, as soon as there's a call to play - you all came flooding back. There's never been a team like us. There's been great teams like Pro's and Snooker Squad, and there's been several wannabe's that shouted loud - but we're still the real deal. An actual team. If anyone questions that and wants to reform and challenge us.....we more than welcome it!

Thanks to Craig for putting the Guardians together. It was fun. It's a shame it wasn't the catalyst I hoped for.

Maybe we could treat this as that start of something and do it a few times a year? Seasonal or twice a year kinda thing. Providing players are up for it. Its been really enjoyable. Hopefully we can make something with the few loyal players left.

That would be great mate. I was hoping it would bring a few players out of the woodwork but it's not really transpired. Craig doesn't have the appetite to carry on captaining Guardians and we simply don't have anyone else to play! I can't motivate them all out of retirement to play ourselves!
