Wondered if people want Killer Tournies....(if it is possible Nick)

something like this...

10 players or less - one off final

More than 10....20...divide into 2 or 3 groups until 2 persons remain - they qualify for the final

More than 20 - divide into 4+ groups until 2 persons remain - they qualify for final

More than 40 - divide into 8+ groups etc etc

Games could be timed so when time is up highest number of lives goes through....

Last 3 persons remain split tournapoints and ranking gain on a 70%, 20%, 10% basis....

this has been talked about and not sure if its changed but nick can only do 1 v 1 tournaments as far as i know but it would be good.

and yeah killer tournies would be good, and i dont think the 1v1 thing is right because otherwise how would we have doubles coming up?

did nick actually say he would do doubles?

As far as I'm aware, the code for the current tournament would have to be completely re-written for this to happen.

I would love to see killer tournaments implemented, also there would need to be no time limit at all because there would be one round then the winner of each goes through to final.. would be fun to see and nice to play.

I think we should have Killer torunaments.

This could be the basis.
0-20 participants 5 man final table
21-40 participants 6 man final table
41-60 participants 7 man final table
61-80 participants 8 man final table
81-100 participants 9 man final table
101+ participants 10 man final table

When you know final table players, u can easily construct rounds before it to have exact number of players.
You can do tables from 3 to 7 people with winner goes through next round.
So no need of changing killer rules and game type.

Speaking to nick not long ago, he said there will not be any major improvements in the near future, that means doubles also. Also somewhere else maybe a previous thread he mentioned tournaments work as he wrote them on a 1 v 1 basis like James rightly said, I think if he was going to include doubles there wouldn't be doubles or killer tournaments unless he re-wrote the whole tournament system.

And since he said there will be no major updates I can't see this happening, I also think it would be good but would take a while with say 60 entrants... thats 6 10 man killer games, say 2 or 3 people stop responding for a while you are waiting more than a minute that way per person as I believe it is 90 seconds before timeout.

Can't see it working but if there was a way to make it happen would be good to see it.

To cut down on time in round one you could have 2 lives only instead of three.....

Or how about one massive multi-player game of killer, I think I suggested that elsewhere.

the thing is nick can only do 1 v 1 tournaments so for killer to be added he would have to do 1 v 1 killer which isnt very fun.

I'd enjoy it though! I think I mentioned 1 vs 1 killer instead.
