so... we need more info.

what are you trying to uninstall?

if it is norton like we have previously discussed go to add/remove programs and uninstall it through there. If not and theres a hell of a lot of pop-ups it sounds to me as if you have an infected computer.

You downloaded AVG yet as we advised?

Ok thats a common example of spyware hijacking the MSN toolbar.

My personal advice is to get rid of ALL toobars. They always impact performance and all useful features are availiable in IE7 or Firefox anyway.

The guide for removing the MSN toolbar is here : http://search.msn.com.sg/docs/toolbar.aspx?t=msntbar_proc_uninstalltbar.htm

Do that, reboot (as it says) and you should be clear of that problem

personally spinner i think we have made an error in making him download AVG after uninstalling norton. he is now even more exposed.

For now sean_paul just leave the computer to download AVG. only after then should we progress to sorting everything else out.

I was assuming Seans friend/computer guy had been and sorted the antivirus etc.

If not Sean, then yes, getting an antivirus up and running is vital.

I'm capping this thread so you can use the first one you created to keep things in order and avoid confusion
