There are so many photo-viewing options now that it's a real eye opener to find something new thats also functional.

Only a demo at the moment, but this is really cool : http://labs.live.com/photosynth/default.html

Had a brief look at this a few days ago.

Unfortunately couldn't get it to run on my machine, The version does not run on my graphics hardware apparently. Helpful as ever Microsoft.

Gives you the the capabilities to sort of create a Google Earth type collection of digital images isn't it?

Something that realviz could maybe incorporate or an enhancement to VTOUR could be on the cards.

This is the new Microsoft technology that I love *cough*:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CZrr7AZ9nCY&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CZrr7AZ9nCY&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Seriously though, multi touch surfaces are great, and besides being fun they have eventually gotten around the problem of resting your palm on the screen while writing.

Not really, it ties your photo's to a 3D model and to each other, sometimes as an alternate angle subset. I haven't seen anything quite like it before.

There's a video demo here for anyone without DirectX compatiple GFX : http://labs.live.com/photosynth/videodemo.html
