teams at bottom of a 1 div would just give up.

if it is 10 teams

2 divs of 5

1st place on div 2 gets promoted
last place of div1 gets a chance to stay up by playing 2nd place div 2 over 2 fixtures .

Some valid points here but no dicision has been made as yet. 1 league would work but some kind of punishment would be needed that can prevent teams at the bottom from quitting. One league would probably mean everyone plays each other once, where as with two divisions there is opportunity to play each other twice. An idea for a punishment would be for a team being excluded from the following season, but this would have to be done privately by league runners. This would hopefully reduce defaults and the bottom team/teams will still compete. Ideas and views will be taken into account but any decision made should NOT be contested so that the FBL can be brought back successfully

Cant see clans quitting because they are bottom of a league. Just if they are unreliable to start with

fbl really shakes it up in my oppionion as there is no clear faeriot in this league.

right i think 1 league be fun and shake it up with 9 teams you play each other once it will last 10 weeks the season of if play each other twice it be 18weeks. and would be a cracking leaugue what you think.

3 Game format
3.1 Game length
Each game consists of exactly 6 frames of each game type:
6 frames of 8 Ball US ("8 ball billiards")
6 frames of 9 Ball ("9 ball billiards")
6 frames of 8 Ball UK ("8 ball pool UK")
2 frames of straight
3.2 Game room type
All games must be played as friendly games, not ranked. Game rooms should be private. Spectators may be invited subject to mutual consent between both players.
3.3 Shot time limit
All games must be played with a shot time limit of 20 seconds.

4 Scoring system
4.1 Scoring points
Each frame won by a player scores a point for their clan for the appropriate fixture.Each game of straight is worth 3 points per frame.
4.2 Fixture bonus points
The clan with the most points scored in a fixture receives a bonus of 10 points. If the fixture is a tie, each clan receives 5 points.
4.3 Match completion bonus
Each team receives a bonus of 5 points for any fixture that gets completed without defaults.
4.4 Results
All results are to be directly registered on the web site, by selecting "Scores" from the "Admin" menu. If you encounter problems or need assistance, don't hesitate to contact any league staff.
