Getting this error message on my laptop and it's not loading anything, even system recovery won't work! Any help here please??

In all honesty? I have no clue what a BIOS is

This can either be very serious, or simple, luckily usually its simple to fix.
Do you have a USB pen drive or external hard disc plugged in, or even a CD/DVD in the drive. All of those can cause that error if the computer is set to boot from them.

If this is the problem, Then follow these steps ;)
To access the BIOS menu press the 'Del' Key on startup, or sometimes 'F4' you can google to find the right key for your make and model
When your in the BIOS menu, using your arrow keys, navigate until you see 'startup device' and made sure its on HDD as 1st boot device.
