The draw for the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers takes place at 7pm tonight, with the European section being drawn at about 8.23pm, after all the other continents.

The pot containing the lowest seeds will be drawn first. With the top seeds being drawn last.

There will be 8 groups of 6 teams, and 1 group of 5 teams. The nine group winners qualify automatically, with the best eight runners-up playing off home and away for Europe's final four slots.

The 6 Pots are as follows:

Pot 1:
Spain, Netherlands, Germany, England, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Norway, Greece

Pot 2:
France, Montenegro, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Slovenia, Turkey, Serbia, Slovakia

Pot 3:
Switzerland, Israel, Republic of Ireland, Belgium, Czech Republic,
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belarus, Ukraine, Hungary

Pot 4:
Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Lithuania, Albania, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Austria, Poland

Pot 5:
Armenia, Finland, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Moldova, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands

Pot 6:
Wales, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Malta, Andorra, San Marino

Russia and Georgia can not be drawn into the same group, due to their political frictions.

Don't need Brazil in any draw - they qualify automatically as host nation.

Plus those are only the European teams above. There are only draws for Europe, Asia, North/Central America, Africa and Oceania as all the other remaining South American countries play in one big league.

I'll settle for Norway, Slovenia, Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Faroe Islands and the weakest of Pot 6, Wales

or if not Wales then San Marino

I'm sure England wouldn't mind a similar draw except maybe Albania for Northern Ireland.

don't see why we need this thread, no matter where england are put we wont win, even if we got given a team of blind & deaf people who are wheelchair bound we'd still find away to concede in the last minute to lose lol.

That's a great group for Scotland, could've been a LOT worse.

EDIT: Come on guys, support your countries! Scotland may or may not do well in this group, regardless i'll always be coming down the road to watch them.

Great draw for England. Come on lads!

Same as what mr_mcquiston has said - Whether they do well or not, I support them because they are my home nation. I won't support Brazil because England don't do well , that's silly and glory hunting .

How do you think San Marino, Luxembourg and other less fortunate teams fans feel? They still turn up to support their country regardless.

Overall, a good draw for all home nations.

Agree with everything you said Aaron. Always support your country, through thick and thin.

Can't help feeling sorry for Republic of Ireland though. What a horrid group to get

I agree with that also Aaron

Scotland have quite a mediocre draw. Some hard teams, but on our day we can beat them!

Could San Marino do it again.

They had a brief moment of glory when they faced England in a World Cup qualifier on November 17, 1993 and took the lead through Davide Gualtieri after just 8.3 seconds- still the fastest goal in World Cup competition.
