I'm planning to do a knockout format competition, ideally with 8US, 9US and 8UK game types involved.

If there is enough interest, it will be a 16 player competition for each game type. I know there are already many events on here but I feel this will be a quick competition, and shouldn't overload any player's workload because in each 'season' there will only be a maximum of 4 matches to play. On top of that, the amount of players remaining in the competition will be reduced in half each round (obviously). Depending on the deadlines, each season should be over in a few weeks.

The competition will be open to anyone, (basically first come first serve), but i would be grateful if you only asked to be part of it if you feel you will be able to complete the season. If at the end of the season any player doesn't wish to take part in any future tournaments that might happen, then that would be fine.

If there is enough interest then a website will be created for this event, and will be updated regularly.

Ideally 16 players for 8US, 16 for 9US and 16 for 8UK will be entered and a random draw will be made to determine who plays who, with the winner progressing to the next round.
Each round will be longer in frame terms than the last, because it's such a short competition, I think this would be best. This is how it will work:

Round of 16: Best of 5 frames in your game type (Deadline: 2 weeks)
Quarter-Final: Best of 7 frames (Deadline: 2 weeks)
Semi-Final: Best of 9 frames (Deadline: 1 week)
Final: Best of 11 frames (Deadline: 1 week, but shouldn't need that long)

The amount of frames in each round and the deadlines are not final, they would be open to opinion, but I think the example above is acceptable.

Can only do one Jay otherwise would be unfair on most who only want to do one type. If I don't get enough players I'll only be doing the one type anyway

Tbh i think id prefer if you did an 8us tourny a 9us tournie and an 8uk tourny, with maybe a all 3 tourny running throughout
