I felt for dark_flame in this match. Nothing he tried came off. He had considerable bad luck which I think frustrated him, because then he started to miss easy shots. I have to say though he took it like a real gent. He played much better in 8 Ball UK generally, and when I fouled in the last 2 frames, he cleared quite nicely. I'm sure things will get better for him as the season approaches. As for me, WOW, what a start to pre season. Brilliant.

In 8us i just kept showing my form, I never missed really apart from in the last frame when a tight final stripe to top middle looked 50/50 but just missed. I always had the run of the balls and fine positional play too, getting me many frames well. In 9us it was all me, i cleared every time i got the chance whilst he didn't have a lot to show. In the last though on my run out, on 2 ball i was stuck but i hit in going into a 3 and 5 and got a fluke from it which lead to the run out. Then in 8uk i began clearing all the way, but got to black and wasnt on for it. tried going in off a red to top middle and instead black went into top left out of nowhere but only a red went in too so i lost it. Then next frame i broke and he cleared well, finally getting his good shot at it! Then next 3 were all slower and saw him foul often eventually and me finish, the last was most unlucky with how he landed for the black. Overall nice guy, enjoyed! ggs.
