Poor decision by the linesman today

Cost liverpool the chance of winning the cup

Feel sorry for the liverpool fans who paid good money to go today only to be robbed by a blind linesman

I don't think whole ball was over, so linesman made a good call in my opinion

Linesman was in a poor position, even as a liverpool fan feel from the angles shown you can't say it was over, but the linesman didn't make a good call. He made a lucky guess, another call for goal line technology though. Surely just a matter of time now.

by the letter of the law the whole ball have to cross the line

i dont think it did cross the line although i have seen many of them given like that in my time...harsh, but the correct decision

I think if it was given it would be justice for chelsea's goal in semi which wasn't even on the line never mind over it. Again, it wasn't the correct decision. It was a lucky guess.

On the whole goal line debate I reckon it was just over but that it was impossible for the linesman to give, and the camera shots are very hard to judge because they are not in line with the goal (dunno why)

The main issue is though that football is living in the dark ages and its reluctance to embrace change is embarrassing to everyone involved in the sport.

When Cricket and Snooker are using technology (two sports renowned for not embracing change traditionally) then you know the people running football are dinosaurs.

The debate about how to restart play makes me laugh too. Drop ball simple. It certainly isn't a restart on the centre circle and a goal awarded when the ball isn't over the line, or play on if it is!

There should be no restart of play necessary.

The technology they are looking at gives the referee an instant signal on his watch. Nobody would ever go for a system like in tennis, where you would have to stop play and look at a video. All done instantly.
So unless the referee gets a signal, you just play on.

Too right City!! Amazing finish.

Barton, proves once again he is an absolute disgrace to football. How many times is he going to do things like that?

And QPR wouldn't have had to end up so deep in defence which caused city problems. Could say if Lescott had properly headed the ball QPR wouldn't have been let back in.

United didn't deserve it, thought they'd won the league as soon as they went 1 point clear. When city lost a big points lead they had to put up with United fans saying they'd bottled it, but when united did exactly the same United fans said they'd gifted it to City.

Can't blame one player for City winning the title, it's about all 38 games

United win nothing this year, think they need that just to show that they have to earn silverware rather than thinking before the season that they will win something.

Let the celebrations begin

Well lets just say , Its took city 44 years to win the premiership... Its amazing how it happens after an arab bought the club ...Put multi millions into the team buying all the best players.

See united havnt done that , we buy them young and train them to be excellent players! United earned there title every time they won it! Where was city bought there way to the top

You can NOT deniy that!!!

City win it this year maybe , like ive been saying they are lucky to have beat qpr in the last 5 MINUTES stoppage.

Im not so bothered to be honest that city won the title , what i am bothered about is i had a bet on QPR to win and the odds we're 16/1 which would of won me 80 odd quid! Thats why im annoyed at ''Joey Barton''

He is the reason for this loss , No discussion needed

Actually, in the summer City spent 80 million to bring in 5 players who've played this season. United paid 60 million for 3.

City generated more cash than United from players sold too, so you can't say City bought the title. You can't just buy a winning team, you have to buy the right players to fit in.

And when clubs know City have multi-millionaire owners who are prepared to pay extortionate amounts, they're going to milk them for everything they can get. It aint just their fault, it's the whole of football and its greed.

Agree with this, Man Utd fans have a cheek saying City bought the title. Last few times Utd won it, how much did they spend the summer before?

I rest my case.

football has been blown out of proportion anyways - Inflated prices for players, ridiculous wage bills, huge amount of debts.

Football should be all about the enjoyment, passion and commitment to a club, but its not. It is now driven MONEY.

I could go on forever, but too tired to do so...you all know where I'm coming from
