I'm a bit indifferent when it comes to killer tournies myself - since a large killer game is almost a tourny of its own.

Then again, a 2 or 3 round killer tourny with large games would been fun and also would be a easier way to get large killer games filled in the first place.

Probably won't happen over night tho, since it's quite a bit of work on Nick's part to implement. Very little can be reused from the other game types.

I fully support this idea, but things get done faster if you're acting maturely.

yeahl I think a killer tournament wouldnt be that bad.

I think that we should cap the competitors to 5, or it will just be to un-interesting for everyone in a 10 player, tournament game.

I think if the top 2 or 3 from each 'group' went through, then it would set up a few nice rivalries!

How it would be implemented though it another thing. And if it became a regular fixture then it wouldmean the other game types would be moved also.

I feel though that there should be no time limit in killer tournament games, as that penalises good players and is counterintuitive.

That's a good point, but with no time limits, killer tournaments would last a good while if the standard of players is high.

Yes.... But that would be of no consequence; it's the same in the present tournaments. Some games end earlier than others. Plus, if one game is lasting a long time, chances are so will others. But having no time limits is not a problem in itself. Every killer player wants a short game with themselves still standing at the end! I.e. each player wants to see his/her opponents eliminated ASAP. If a player X on 1 life gets a fluke, that's one more round in which they might sneak a black, snooker player Y, set up player Y's opponent, etc.

Killer tournaments would rule, mainly due to the fact it wud be the only type of tourney i cud win lol

It's a fair bit of work so not planned, but there's nothing stopping people creating unofficial killer tournaments.
