me against the world then, still don't believe any of ya, what happens if they just sit there typing the letter J again and again and neva put a word together ? think about it !

but think about it! there are millions of millions of millions of them! im not quiet sure that they all would press the same button all the time! that would just be boring! and if monkeys are not 1 thing, its boring! they are very random so i don't think they wold just press 1 letter!

An infinite amount of them will type the letter J again and again... an infinite amount of them will push the typewriter over... an infinite amount of them would try to eat the letter 'y' (impossible, trust me)... an infinite amount of them will type the entire works of shakespeare.....an infinite amount of them will type "I HATE SCUMMERS" an infinite amount of times.......it's infinity. If you believe in an infinite Universe, then there is an infinite amount of planets exactly the same as ours...

they also would type 'arsenal are the best football team in the world' millions of times! but we all know that is true anyway!

Right, now to the mokey debate.

It is impossible. For an animal with no grasp of the english language to type individual words for a start would be incredible.

For example, typing the world "THE". If they just hit the keyboard there is a 1 in 26 chance of hitting the "T" then there would be a 1 in 26 chance of the "H" and so on. So for a monkey to type the word "the" there is a 0.00005 chance of this happening. Thats 5 in 10000! And thats just the word "the"!!!! So just imagine writing a million odd words in that specific order! Impossible!!!

If they start with the first word correctly, there is a 1 in however many words there are in the english language of them typing the second word correctly and so on! It just cannot happen!!!

The nature of infinity is that every word will get typed an infinate amount of times, the work of shakespeare would be typed an infinate amount of times, your name would be typed an infinite amount of times, this thread would be copied from start to finish an infinite amount of times! The 0.000005 chance would happen because if it was done an infinite times then it would happen!

it is possible to train a monkey to type, without them having to learn to read, just give them something to copy and they'll quite easily do it. the can recodnise the symbols. i mean, if supermega can do it then a monkey can surely? ;-)
