the only way that would work is to have one game worth 12 points, two games is better so I would stick with the current system.

Top 3 is the limit 6 points can be split really, 3-2-1. Top 4 would end up meaning the winner of the killer could lose the game and the points would be the same for some positions. (you can't even split 6 points between 7 positions )

Would also mean that in a 1 vs 1, the winner would get a 6-0 which isn't exactly fair if its a close match. Top 2 means more team based and tactical play because you'll want to get your team mates into those positions potentially sacrificing yourself. Sounds much more interesting, fun and team-based rather than individual.

I'd prefer 3vs3 minimum and only Top 3 get points.
Wouldn't even waste my time 1vs 1 in killer tbh.

If you're having trouble arranging killer games then maybe you shouldn't be opposing a more open way of implementing it into the league. If you have trouble with 2 vs 2, you'll have more trouble with 3 vs 3. 1 vs 1 is to avoid defaults and not a choice. Though most clans should have at least 2 players on so I can't see why they wouldn't.

This way the scoring is the same no matter how many play (which couldn't be more flexible). I'd imagine most games will still have quite a few players. Top 2 means someone will win killer, top 3 means draws are possible (which would be strange since someone wins the frame). It promotes team play and players have to actually work for the points which should be more accurate than players getting the points because they just lasted a little bit longer or the opponent couldn't field a team as could happen with anything else.

Looking over from snooker they have a set time/default time for killer (they use 9pm on Sunday, but it could be altered depending on how people feel)

If one team has all their players on and ready to play, then the game goes ahead regardless (which is covered by the maximum of 3 if can't be mutually agreed). If any captain can't get 3 of their players on at the same time then they'd have to play with less or let it be defaulted and penalise them.

Potentially say that (unless agreed beforehand) a clan has no obligation to field a team after this time as a way to get teams to stick to the default time and not wait until 5 to midnight when the opponent only has 1 player and they have their 3 best players.

Thoughts?

I think this is a good idea, but would probably adopt a different time to the snooker time (just to avoid any deadline clashes).

Maybe give each clan the option to mutually alter the default time at the start of each fixture? So clans would then have an arranged times and then a time they have both agreed to be fair beforehand (if they can't agree then enforce a commonly agreed time - say 8pm to avoid a clash with snooker)

I've been calling for a set time/day to play killer and forever got told, cant dictate when players are to play. Isn't this the same? All be it a default time.

This wouldn't necessarily be a set time/day but instead intended as a last resort if killer games don't get played

It's not a set time/day, it's a time to fall back on if all else fails. The game is to be arranged, but in the event it still isn't played by deadline day then theres a set time. It works over on snooks, slight different format here though.

Question?
Whilst there is quite a lot of criticism, unhappiness etc, could the new changes be on a trial basis only for the 1st fixture sets for all the changed Leagues? That will give a fair trial and also maybe eradicate or change players perceptions.

Just a thought?

Because at present seem a little gung-ho, change is good but in moderation (bit by bit).

There's always the unrest each season for a minority, for most are happy to just get on with it. There's never been a trial before and I don't see the need now. If there's a major problem then it will have to be addressed but being under a trial period doesn't really mean much except theres doubt in the runners mind which would be a bad thing and may lead to more criticism than just a standard league period (if it's a trial then evaluation would be needed at the end unlike a normal start).

Just sounds like another way to have a pre-season which isn't needed anymore

And theres always been change which is often not in moderation, that applies to some things more than others and here what was needed was a fresh change not a moderate one which would solve little.

Yes - if you can just confirm what the first F stands for in your second team?
