The Froch v Grove stoppage was spot on. Watching it now so I'll tell you why soon because I can't quite remember

I can understand why it was given, and why it wouldn't be given. If he hadn't of stopped it he would've done serious damage to Groves and knocked him out. For the last 40 seconds or so of the fight Froch was in no danger, Groves hardly threw a punch, had been hit by at least 4-5 big hits in the build up to the stoppage and Froch was under no pressure in picking some big shots. No way Groves was gonna last the round.

Groves was definitely winning, but Froch showed the better chin through the rounds and in the few round before when they went toe to toe, Froch always seemed to come out looking better. He had given warning in the 8th, and the referee tapped Groves before to show he was watching and he needed to make a fight out of it which he didn't. He just threw punches which weren't aimed because he'd been rocked

In a professional fight there are grounds for the fight to continue, but when it was only a matter of time before Groves hit the deck and Froch sensing the win it's understandable why the ref didn't wait longer, he's responsible for both fighters safety and at that point Groves was a punching bag

Not only powerful but deadly accurate, no one will beat him, he'll probably have to go up another weight before another even matches him.
