give guests ranks that obviously disappear when they log out. Then put the newbies+guests in their own tournaments.

As much as i enjoy making a new account and spamming my rank up by entering nothing but tournaments, it would make it much more enjoyable to come up against actual ranked opponents as opposed to these crappy 682 (Newbie), granting me 0.1 a game, and losing 0.4 a game. Makes playing completely pointless IMO. This is an example of why it's such a crap system:

Round 1 (Race to 2)

vs 677.9 (Newbie) - I win 2-0, win 0.2, 0.3 if i'm lucky.

Quarter Final (Race to 2)

vs 685.2 (Newbie) - I win 2-1, lose 0.3, no big deal.

Semi Final (Race to 2)

vs 687 (Newbie) - I win 2-0, win 0.3

Now after playing 7 frames, winning 6 and losing 1, i'm currently up 0.2 in points.

Final (Race to 3)

vs 760 (Adept) - I win 3-1, at +1.9 per frame win and -6.2 for frame loss, i lose 0.5 overall.

Total tally: 9 wins, 2 losses, -0.3 in points.

Am i the only to see that Newbie's literally ruin tournaments and make them an irrelevant statistic for non-Newbies?

newbies shouldnt be allowed to play tournaments , far to many fake ones

everyone has the right to join tournaments

you play everyone to win, the only problem I have
is you can win 3 points against a newbie and lose 18
I truly don't understand how you can beat someone
and end up losing points

Hence why maybe making the micros the only tournies newbs and guests can join. give the people who stay on the site, and keep their names, the privileges, rather than letting fake newbs ruin the site, as usual

You don't lose that many point when you play a newbie? Or at least you didn't when I was on. Personally it doesn't bother me as a player may just lose their newbie stats but have a crap rank and rip people's rank in tournaments. I know because I did it lol.

ranked tournaments killed the game along with the rank deduction, tournament points am all for as its seperate..people disagree with me and will say this has been for the better... i ask how?? look at the site its dead now. revert and make this site what it was before..ive been on here nigh 10 years now and never seen it this bad,,

also bring the pro games back!!!

Wonder how many users have switched from pc's and laptops to iPads over time though.

I have both ipad and laptop

both have there needs and both give outstanding results
however the quality that ipad gives is so much better than laptops

ie the camera and face time on the ipad is class compared to Skype on a laptop

Very true ^ but flash player is a big thing lacking as well as mobile settings rather than desktop

Well for starters iPads are falling behind in quality in comparison to Galaxy/Sony tabs, and the quality of the laptop is dependant on the laptop you have isn't it. If you have a crappy £300 Lenovo, yeah it's gonna be worse than an iPad. If you have a £1100 Alienware, it's gonna be better!

so I get it
