I was wondering if this will be extended so that people who are in a tournament, but offline, aren't automatically DQ'd. I don't think there's anything you can do about getting logged out during a match, that's still a loss. However, at some point I will have to close and re-open the game window to resolve a problem, and I would rather do it when the problem occurs rather than waiting for the next round to be drawn first!

Let me know if that doesn't make sense, I have a slightly fried/scrambled/poached brain at the moment

(I'm guessing the answer will be - can't do it easily from a technical point of view)

I know what you mean. If you do it before the round ends and the next round begins before the window re-opens, you're out. If the next round is drawn and then you close and re-open, you're still safe.

Of course, what you can do is keep an eye on the amount of games completed, the amount of games left to be played, and the scores, and thereby estimate how much time is left.

Hmm, does it load up or has trouble actually loading up the window?

I do think it's the sounds but can you play and everything smooth?

I think it's to do with components on your PC but trying to uninstall java and installing it again may do the trick. If not, you'll have to take a look at the java options in your browser.

the game window opens, but fails to load (remains white, apart from the facia on the top with the ads and the funkypool logo), tried updating the java, tried uninstall + new install even before asking here

it used to work fine with the old layout of the website and i haven't met a problem with other websites that run java, but since no one else has reported similar problems, it is obvious that the problem is local to my machine

Sorry, I've just seen this, if you were using Opera there was a problem when loading - it should be fixed now.

I was wondering why it said play at the top in tourney rooms, and found out why yesterday.

I was in straight semis and my game froze completely, wouldnt let me accept the invite for final. So i logged out, tried to log back in and it took ages before it would allow me back on. When i final did get back on i went to the room to tell my opponant what happened and i clicked play at the top. It let me play the game even tho i had logged off when i got the invite.

So yeh i love that new feature

the play button has gone from the tourney rooms could we please have it back ?

Ok, i'll ask very nicely this time. Is it possible nick, if you have some spare time, to put the play button back at the top in tourney rooms please? I'd be very greatful for a reply thanks, even if it is just to tell me to shut up.

What do we need a play button for in a tourny room that auto-starts anyway?

If you have a problem after getting your invite and have to log out and in, you could use the "play" button to join the game, as your invite has disappeared. It was much more useful than sitting in the game room waiting to get a DQ because you had no way of playing!

Ah, you're talking about the button which transfers you from watcher to player.

Hmmm, this can't be on by default as other people would see this button as well.

The better approach is to try and solve the root cause - whatever caused the problem to be logged out. Any instability problems please report as much info as you can - but a lot of these problems are now resolved (there were problems related to the new game changes).

Me logging out is a problem with my connection usualy, nothing to do with the site i dont think.

When the play button was there it didnt affect other players, me and another member tested it. He went to my tourney room before me and clicked play. It wouldnt let him play.

I just think it would stop alot of people getting DQ in tourneys because of them losing connection once they have the invite, or because they need to log out and in again after one round but dont have time before the next. ( If that makes sense )
