Opinions on re-setting of stats?

What are your opinions on re-setting stats? Personally I think it's OK once in a while if you want a fresh start
I ask this question as I just noticed silent_chill re-set his/her stats (not for the first time in the last 24 hours either) immediately after I beat them in the last 9 Ball Arcade Marathon:
RESULT: 9 Ball Arcade Marathon - silent_chill (1) loses to al_partridge (5) who ran the rack!
RANKINGS: al_partridge 704.4 (+1.7), silent_chill 669.2 (-1.6)
TOURNAMENT: al_partridge knocks out silent_chill
TOURNAMENT: Congratulations to al_partridge (Newbie) who won their 3rd ever 9 Ball Arcade Tournament, winning 70 TournaPoints!

I think his next challenge will be to have maybe. 70 to 75% win % maybe he might be resetting until he gets off to a strong winning start. So stop beating him lol
