Sky sports...

Sergio Ramos tells real madrid he wants to join Man Utd.

Been hearing loads of stuff about ramos, apparently it's a stunt to get a bigger contract, he's moving, madrid aint selling, man u dont want him, he doesn't want to come, now he does, I wouldnt read to much into it really, they probably do want him, but the transfer cost will be a massive put off

They have bid 28.6mill. he is 29 years old..maybe just maybe.

Shame as I know he was ... odd but he's a good manager, also an odd time to remove him, I mean we have brought 2 players (fachs and japanese guy whos name I forgot lol) which I assume Pearson had a hand in? so why remove him now?
Maybe the new manager might of picked differently, oh well.... but if we get Sven again lol.

Jeremain Lens: Sunderland sign £8m Netherlands midfielder

Sunderland sign Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul on a four-year deal £3m.

Sunderland sign Sebastian Coates sign from Liverpool
£2m

Sunderland sign Wales international Adam Matthews from Celtic for £2m

2 centre halfs
1 right back
1 left winger

we required these players without a doubt
we need a forward and a creative midfielder

time will tell, some great business up to now
Lee Congerton deserves a pat on the back

we still have 2 marquee signings to come I hope

as you've seen football in the north east is fierce and hatred runs very deep
but , Sunderland fans came together with our north east neighbours and all rivalry diminished
when 2 of our own north east football fans were murdered whilst travelling to a football match
no excuses can ever be made or accepted

together the north east and much of the football fraternity will mourn these 2 fans, along with many other fans who have lost family and friends supporting their football club

The North East comes together

SUNDERLAND fans will continue to pledge their support for a rival fans killed in an air disaster with a sell-out ball held in their name.

All 21 tables at the celebration have been taken by Black Cat fans as they back the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation in honour of Liam Sweeney and John Alder
The Newcastle fans died in July when Malaysian Airways flight MH17 crashed , were making their way to see the Magpies play in a pre-season match in New Zealand.

In the aftermath of the disaster, his fellow Newcastle United fans rallied to support their loved ones, with Black Cat followers also paying their respects to the pair.

A fund was set up more than £33,500 was donated and then split between the foundation and the Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle.

Anybody know if Mike Ashley has been abducted

What the heck are Newcastle doing ?

Bringing in decent players instead of our poor neighbours down the road.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Aleksandar Mitrovic

Chancel Mbemba

I am having kittens here like.

A good season looking ahead for The Mighty Toon

Or are us Newcastle fans jumping the gun ?

The 1st two players are great - haven't seen much on Mbemba - Youri Tielemans would have been better lol.

Mitrovic i rate highly, about time Newcastle signed some Quality.

Can see Newcastle United having a much better season than Sunderland tbh. Think you'll struggle when Johnson gets sent down, Defoe gets injured and Cattermole returns to Red Card City.

Steve McClaren is a very good Coach, so far their new signings have been impressive not to neglect the likes of Remy Cabella, Facundo Fereyra, Ayoze Perez still there. IF McClaren can get the best out of them three players then they are very good. Cabella and Fereyra especially. Siem De Jong is a very good player too. Possibly require a new CB with Coloccini not exactly being brilliant and more a liability. Mbemba I see is close to joining them, not seen him play but Anderlecht do usually generate some top players. Surprised no one's gone for: Praet or Tielemans

Newcastle to finish in the top 10 this season - go on toon_lad.
