(a) France look very impressive and Benzema will be the difference here.

(b) Honestly think Colombia have what it takes to beat the host nation, can see a very tight match, but Colombia to pinch it. Colombia have the team to win this, not only Rogriguez but, Cuadrado, Yepes, Quintero, etc.

(c) Not been impressed with Argentina at all, Belgium played very well vs USA and have the squad to cause a huge upset here.

(d) Netherlands will want to put their last performance behind them and try eradicate the penalty memory from viewers minds, they will literally run riot here.

France vs Germany looks the best of the lot, France have looked very good and the disappointing times for the Germans haven't been too bad in comparison to others. Tight game hopefully, Germany to show supremacy on pens.

Brazil vs Colombia should be a good match, the crowd will be hugely influential. If Colombia get an early goal then Brazil will be in a world of trouble, if Brazil score I can see a relentless Brazil attack occurring for the Colombians to withstand. Less pressure on Colombia and I think it really will show.

Argentina vs Belgium, this one will hopefully open up to something exciting and end to end. Both attacks haven't particularly lived up to expectations but got the job done eventually, hopefully a nightmare for both keepers. Belgium have the better defence but Argentina have the better attack and I unthinkable they'll break through in extra time.

Netherlands vs Costa Rica, I think there might be a big call in this one involving Robben with something not given because of his admission of cheating. Can't see a Costa Rican clean sheet with the Dutch front line in good form, but I think the Costa Ricans will work hard and win the day like the Mexicans deserved to.

Wow Costa Rica to win, brave choice but who knows. Good see you agree with Colombia. Too much expectation on host nation and unfair place all on Neymar.

Argies to coast to a 2-0 win. Belguim just have not lived up to the hype.

1-1 Holland to go through on penalties. Have an incling it will be a dull game.

I shall no longer take part in watching the world cup.

France v Germany - 2-0 France. Germany played poor against Algeria and apparently have 7 players showing flu like symptoms, which wont help. Although France were not great against Nigeria I think Pogba,Benzema and Cabaye have played well when iv watched them.

Brazil v Colombia 1-0 Brazil. I have not seen much of either side but think the home side advantage may help Brazil.

Argentina v Belgium 1-1 (Argies to win AET) Both sides been rubbish when iv watched them. Just think the front line of Argentina will eventually grind down Belgium.

Netherlands v Costa Rica 2-0 Netherlands. Robben to out run the Costa Rican's. Snjeider may come out of his shell after his goal in last game.

Robben to get 8.5 for his dive with pike

In most cases you would be wise to bet on the Germans at a World Cup, but given that 7 members of their squad have apparently gone down with the flu, I'm less certain this time.

Whilst France have been playing some good football, I still feel that they lack experience at this level, and that this alone might suffice for Germany to win.

Personally, I'm hoping for a Colombia "upset", but given the standard of football they have produced so far, it wouldn't really be a massive surprise if they beat the hosts (even against 11 men, the ref, linesman ....lol).

Holland should be too strong for Costa Rica, who have done incredibly well. Hands up who foresaw them being the remaining representatives from their group...?!

Finally, Argentina-Belgium ... yes, they have Messi, but Argentina haven't shown a great deal else so far, whereas the Reds are looking full of talent. I expect Belgium to qualify here.

Some more predictions: Good see others believe Colombia can cause an upset, wont be the whole of Brazil after me then...phew!

Very disappointed with Germany & Argentina, France are the ones to watch and didnt know about the flu so that's not good at all.

Germany 2-1 France, lot to prove yet Germany and as we seen over the years they seem to do so in finals.

Brasil 2-2 Columbia, although id like Columbia to win i think they will lose on pens.

Argentina 0-2 Belgium, Belgium look a more convincing squad and only 2 players ive seen look anything like decent is Messi and demario.

Netherlands 2-1 exta time winner, if Costa Rica play a fast paced game i think they will have a great chance tho.

Germany - France: Agreed with some above me, I think experience will play a big role here and feel Germany will nick it by the odd goal. 1-0 Germany.

Brazil - Colombia: Again experience could be crucial, and I feel Brazil just have too much going for them not to go through again. Neymar with an ET winner. 2-1 Brazil AET.

Argentina - Belgium: Probably gonna rule slightly with my heart here, but I really feel Argentina are bound t okick into gear sooner rather than later. A fully fit Aguero and this would be no contest IMO. As for Belgium surely Lukaku's got to start which would concern me greatly! 3-1 Argentina.

Netherlands - Costa Rica: Surely Costa Rica's bubble will finally burst and the Dutch will be too strong. That said I reckon it will still be pretty tight for most of the game. 3-1 Netherlands.
