Seems like everybody is getting hacked lately past few months... sony, facebook, google, and the most shocking i have seen Lockeed Martin they are one of the leaders as a defense contractor. But seriously, they got hacked...!

Who and what else has been hacked lately?

Xbox accounts. Mainly due to stupidity of people falling for 'scams' and give away their email address and passwords.

It is extremely rare for something to actually be Hacked, by the correct definition of the term. The simple fact is that it requires such knowledge and access to even begin that it simply is not worth it for the most part.

Back in the day when computers dialled each other directly, it was completely different, but hose days are long gone.

99.9% of attacks now are, as bunrzybhoy said, down to peoples stupidity in giving away their details and using inherently insecure software such as instant messengers and dodgy browsers life firefox.

By far the most common scam, however, is the "20 questions" type - what is your favourite color, first pets name, etc etc. People plaster this info all over emails and facebook etc without realising all the questions are based on the "secret questions" used to reset email passwords etc.
