I wont be saying sorry again
Something trivial took to heart
Prompting someone and this thread to part

Bacon is a glorious food
Always picks up my mood
In a sarnie, with sauce thats brown

A little spare time in the day for me,

Back to work in less than an hour,
The thought of it makes my mood all sour.

Chapster I liked your poem too,
It seems I love the same sports as you.
Being a northern lad I like the rugger as well,
In fact any sport sits with me swell.

Fry I laughed hard until my voice become hoarse,
At your poems on elephants, bacon and sauce.
So random but that's what I like in those rhymes,
Straight to the point, taking up little time.

Paula don't you worry hard about Hippes,
I doubt it was slander that came from your lips.
Time is healer, and that shall be so,
It may happen soon, or could arrive slow.

Now I must get back, to teach these year nines,
I've written this poem in miraculous time!
My sandwich is only half eaten right now,
So until the next time, I'll take a quick bow.

Everyone can be a poet
Doesn't need to rhyme in order to show it.
As long as you write in a way to express
Enjoy writing it loads to digress

No one will chastise nor criticize

It's almost that time of the week,
When everything begins to look less bleak,
The fun and antics will start tomorrow,
Or just to drown out the week of sorrow.

Have a beer, have a wine,
Maybe even vodka, that's just fine,
Just don't end up in a stupid state,
You'll drive family and friends irate.

Enjoy yourself though, have some fun,
Just make sure you can remember when you're done,
So everyone gather for a beer,
Hip Hip Hooray, is what I hear.

Personal fave

Saturday

Every Saturday morning, if I'm not too rough,
I'll get on the sofa with my breakfast and stuff.
On goes the telly, for only one show,
Soccer AM as the fans will all know.

Helen and Max greet me at ten o'clock
While I pull on a t-shirt and a clean pair of socks.
With a fresh bacon sandwich and a nice cup of tea,
I'll sit for two hours glued to the TV.

With Frankie and Rocket, and don't forget Tubes,
We all get the latest in football news.
One question only, who will Tubes pick?
It seems that it's Max who gets all the stick.

But then the Soccerette does the catwalk with him,
And the fan they pull up always looks pretty grim.
All aboard the showboat, and a taxi's arrived,
Some player's messed up and it's time for his ride.

This is just an insight into my Saturday morn,
While the adverts are on I write this and yawn.
Then it's into the bookies, and onto the pub,
A fair few pints after having some grub.

I hope the weekend is a good one for you all,
Whether its a night in or a heavy bar crawl.
Now I'm afraid that I really must go,
There's still over an hour left on my favourite show!

As I sit here, wading through paper,
I wonder, will get things get brighter?
File this, copy that, its very unjust,
But everyone knows a job is a must.

I'm not saying I don't like it,
But its very boring and kinda s...,
No windows, to admire the view,
Just a mountain of work, to get through.

Clock on at half 7, and out at 6,
A dull day just staring at bricks,
Have another coffee, or maybe a tea,
So another five minutes can pass me.

I'd better return to this major work,
Or my boss shall be going berserk,
Someone please write another poem,
Maybe in time, for when I go home.

I am enjoying bringing out the creative side

I shall write another one tomorrow, fairly tired right now and my brain is recovering from a weekend of abuse

night!

So the clocks have chimed extra,
And the mornings are a little brighter,
So wrap up warm, or the cold will gettcha,
Get that scarf put on, a little tighter.

So this storm which causing chaos,
Makes this halloween a touch more spooky,
Get that board out, lets have a seance,
Actually better not, its quite kooky.


Buy a pumpkin, make a face,
Toast the seeds, with a little salt,
Sit back, watch a murder case,
Pour out a drink, a nice single malt.

This poem is just pure random,
Got not idea of what to write next,
Lets hope the next poem is awesome,

Seeing his name puts me on a high
From way back when he was so shy
looking so handsome in his baby blue tie!

Halloween

Witches and werewolves, the occassional bat,
Pumpkins and vampires and a black cat
They're all pretty spooky I think you'll agree
But they're not what its all to do with for me.

I like to wait in the bushes, out of plain sight,
Dressed as a zombie, in the dead of the night.
Little kids come to my door, "Trick or Treat"
I leap out and shout, they jump out their feet!

Teach him to come begging, the little brat,
No sweets for him, he's already fat.
A bit harsh you might say, just think how he feels,
But its way more effective than "Jamie's School Meals"



No children were harmed in the making of this poem
