Well Croatia were very good 1st half, seemed to drop off in 2nd, still they were robbed, no where near a penalty. Keeper should have saved Oscars goal and the penalty tbh.

Brazil got lucky, but 2nd half they were only team really in it.

I think Croatia were threatening right up until the Oscar goal, Brazil were extremely lucky. Defensively Brazil were poor, Marcelo was just petulant with Alves wasteful going forward and vulnerable defensively. Luiz made some risky tackles, he got them right today but could've easily mistimed them. Neymar should've been sent off with a straight red, Brazil should never have had a penalty, Croatia losing possession for the Oscar goal was a foul and Croatia had a goal wrongly ruled out.

If Brazil play like that for the rest of the tournament, they won't win. If the officials referee like that the rest of the tournament, they will win.

Try Buffon, Abate, Bonucci, Barzaghli and Chiellini. Like I said, average age is over 30 (30.4) why wouldn't the defence take as strong an influence as possible from Italian champions Juve who won the title comfortably this season.

England's defence is most likely Hart, Johnson, Cahill, Jagielka and Baines which comes out as 28.8 so I don't know how you've done your maths

They were second best in the first half, second half Spain lost it and the Dutch overran them after a while and never looked back, hats off to them but first half they looked the same as the euros bar the goal

Yeah I agree Zante, I also don't think it were a Penalty, so it should have been 1-0 Netherlands come Half Time.

I think that galvanized them for the 2nd half and they were simply unstoppable, I think Spain could struggle now vs Chile, so we could lose them in the Group Stage now.

Still tip Brasil to win the tournament as hoping Netherlands ain't peaked too early in the competition.

It was definitely a pen, granted Costa won it rather than just having his foot taken. The third goal for the Dutch was a foul on Casillas and that could've turned things round, after that it was virtually all Netherlands

He planted his foot but he was bringing it back forward and the contact was of the ground. Defenders has slid in recklessly and missed the ball , made contact with the player and brought him down.

Defender made NO contact with Diego Costa until Costa placed his left leg on the defenders - agree the defender should have stayed on his feet but no way a penalty.

I have several times, Costa had his leg firmly on the ground then was moving it upwards when contact came in from the defender who was making the challenge not Costa

Costa repositioned his leg slightly, perhaps to get a better push off to move the opposite way but certainly in a better position to have it taken from him.
