Grey matter failing,
Steph's hit a slump,
Paula's moaning will commence,
With her abnormal grump!

Not long finished my dinner,
After working quite late,
I'm up again really early,
Coz I'm starting at 8,
Steph, Pit and even Paula,
I shall bid yaz farewell,
Love the craic and all the banter,
And in all honesty....think yous are swell

Take care you lot. Cheers fer the chuckles x

He'll do one for me

I wanted to do a poem, and do it from the heart
Yet once i started typing, i didn't know where to start
If i started from the beginning, it wouldnt make it to the end
If i started from the middle, it'd send me round the bend
But if i tried it backwards, and start as it is ending
It might just leave me broken, an need a lot of mending
So exactly where does it leave me, doing this little rhyme
You wont know cause neither do i, am best just giving it time

Hey!

Water

I step into the shower, the floor cold on my feet,
I adjust the settings on the knob to set the correct heat.
The sun beams through the window, rests upon my skin,
The door is shut all the way closed, to drown out all the din.

Towels are hung up on the side, I stand here naked, bare;
Twisting the knob I feel a rush of water soak my hair.
Water runs down quickly, past my shoulders - down my thighs,
Suddenly the soap runs down my face and stings my eyes.

Massaging the foam into my skin, I hum a quiet song,
Then suddenly I get the sense that something's really wrong.
The smell of fruit surrounds me, Molton Brown I think it is,
But I can't shake the feeling and the bubbles pop and fizz.

The water runs much faster, the heat relieves my mind,
Still I feel a sense that there is something close behind.
I turn and see this toy doll thing, I take a look inside her,
And as I pull back the lid back, I find a great big spider!

I scream a high pitched scream, I hope nobody heard,
A grown man with a voice like that would surely be absurd!
Keep the window's closed I think - Yes, I really oughta,
I felt much better when I washed that beast away with water.

(Rushed, long day, should be called shower
)

Hi!

Rushed it maybe, still good? Yes
At least it wasn't a babbling mess
Poems are a talent you've got
An i love them no matter what
You know how much it means to me
Ive words from here in my memory
Thats why i couldnt let it just die
It goes back as far as your famous tie

I left a title called Tie or Ties
Not long ago, but no replies
So I'll just dont one instead
About a silky one but urgh not red

I like Ties, i think they look smart
When added with a nice suit
Handsome and classy
For no lady trashy
But with a shoe not a boot

Theres one last verse id like to add
Its something ive just got to say
The tie thats the best
A cut above the rest
Is the one worn by Mr Grey

Tie

Once upon a time, when I was young man,
I mooched on into the city.
Walking round the shop, sucking a big lollipop,
I spotted a thing so pretty.

It felt real silky, so soft in my hand,
An item that just caught my eye.
Took it to the till and paid up the bill,
And took home my silky blue tie.

Now this wasn't an ordinary tie of course,
It had a most magical side.
I put it on straight away, and went out to play,
But I was in for a massive surprise.

Suddenly a hoard of women turned up,
As I sat in the pub on that night.
Now one or two - I could handle a few,
But fifty women gave me a fright!

They started pulling away on my clothing,
With their hands and even some with their teeth!
Had to run through the room, fight them off with a broom,
That night was fun but was also so brief.

I woke the next day and looked out from the window,
A shock was in store for me.
100's of women stood there, all completely bare,
As far as the eye could see.

'What do you want?' I asked to them all,
Straining my voice to be clear,
'We've all come by, to see the man with the tie'
'And we won't leave until he is here!'.

Now I could go on about the rest of the tale,
But it's not exactly 'safe for this site'.
So let us just say, to this very day,
I'm always sporting my silky blue tie!

I even have a little smile at some posts i have found
There's funny ones sad ones some have been removed
Bantering ones offensive ones Nick wouldnt of approved
Some queries about the game some on dedications
I remember years ago theres was one for nominations!
However upon reading id just like for me to say
My opinion i really think funky was better back in the day

Paula/Pauline/Pig/JSG

Where can I start, with the title above,
To write type down a poem on a thread that I love.

We all know her, she's been here for years,
Creating such laughter that moved some to tears.

I hate being soppy, it's not the done thing,
I'd much rather make a fun joke or just sing!

So what do I say then? Well, there's much I could say,
It's a poem like any other, only not in the same way.

I suppose this one has feeling, sentiment you'd guess,
About this little gem, this 'Funky Princess'.

If I state the obvious; full of lip, feet size three,
It wouldn't get across what this lass means to me.

Time again I've mooched off, and not to be found,
To find this thread still going, all safe and sound.

And it's really down to one person, you call her JSG,
But as long as I breathe she'll be Pauline to me.

Extremely private, a tough nut to crack,
To find our beginnings you'd have to go way back.

Maybe 15 years - crikey! That's a long time,
And yet I still say she's a good friend of mine.

I once saw her face, albeit many moons ago,
In fact it was so far back, it's a blur now, you know.

But still it's quite vivid, it never went away,
So as I come to the end of this poem I'll just say;

Paula your lovely, wonderful and fun,
To most of us here you're our number 1.

My characters are running out now, so I'll finish with this,
A hug, a handshake and a big sloppy kiss!

Something happened Christmas day , life to me will never be the same .
I had a call that changed my life , life as I knew it came to a holt .
All I hold are memory's now and a deluded thought that your still about .

You were so young and full of life , unfortunately that day you lost your fight .

Always in my heart , love you mate .

Love you my boy Jake 15/08/1994 - 25/08/2019

Weather

Swish and a swoosh, a drip and a drab,
The constant rain makes me feel rather sad.

Pounding the windows, the drops roll down,
As I peer out of the office, and look into town.

A mist is settling, droplets rise from the street,
People under umbrellas quickly shuffle their feet.

Buses take off and smoke billows behind,
Cars follow it slowly as they crawl half-blind.

The sky is so grey, no brightness in sight,
The howling wind blusters and day turns into night.

I shut up the office, walk out into the road,
The temperatures freezing, and I tighten my coat.

Where are my gloves? Blimey, left them in the car,
It's OK Stevie, you didn't park so far.

Into the car park, I pay for the day,
I'm ascending the stairs when I hear someone say;

'The forecasts' the same love, expect more fer this week,
Torrential rain and floods, by-eck it looks bleak'.

With this I drive home and sleet pounds the windscreen,
I go through the biggest puddle that I've ever seen.

I reminisce of a time when I laid on the beach,
Sipping an alcoholic drink that tasted like peach.

Sun warming my skin, a light tan to my face,
The wave's crashing behind me, oh this was the place!

But rain like this before, I'd have to say never,
Although nothing surprises me, it's just English weather!
